A soldier in Afghanistan met a cat he could tell had no owner, and was abused. He took the cat in as his own and the cat helped him get through some of his toughest times there. He set up a very dangerous, risky plan in order to get the cat back home in Oregon with him.
I think this story is very cute. He must really love that cat.

Wow. Great story. The cat is so cute. The interpreter was very brave to do all that just for a cat. Anything could have happened to both the cat and the interpreter.

I think that this is a very cute story. I am not a cat fan myself simply because i am allergic to them but this is precious. Animals are a great coping mechanism for humans that are going through hard times. If i was him i would probably do the same thing simply because i become very attached to animals over a period of time.
This shows that there still are a few good people in the world. Finally, somebody does what is right instead of what is easy. He will now have a best friend forever.

That is so sweet! They would get along great back in Oregon if they made it through Afghanistan together! I hope everything goes well, and he is able to bring the cat home.
AWWW I'm glad that somebody would do this for a cat!! Most people just walk right past them or laugh! These cats have feelings too even know you cant hear them!
