What the Heath? What is it about and what does it have to do with me? The documentary talked about many important topics in the U.S. today such as how the standard American's diet is based too much on meat, eggs, and poultry in order to shovel feed these big companies piles and piles of cash that they use to pay off the government so that they are protected. Why would they need to be protected? In these giant slaughter houses and farms there is so much animal cruelty and unhygienic acts that go on. For this documentary they interviewed a few people in a small town in North Carolina. One woman complained about how most of her family members that live around there have severe health issues such as asthma and cancer.
The cause of these illnesses derive from the fields and slaughterhouses they live by. Pigs are loaded into a box after they die and sit there in the baking sun until a truck comes to pick them up and then they are chopped up and either sold to supermarkets or ground up into food for the other pigs. Pigs produce the most manure out of any livestock and besides having the pigs live in it they use some to fertilize their crops. There are big machines that spread the feces all over the fields and into the air. North Carolina is the state where there is the most air pollution.
The documentary also talked about how America's diets are set up. ADA is the american diabetes association and they have some info on how to subside some effects, but not how to prevent diabetes. They also have a diet plan that has a lot of foods that have diabete causing agents. They interviewed chief scientific and medical officer Robert Ratner and he denied anything about the website having the diet plan and made it seem like he had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. This is just one example of how these large companies don’t care about the cause and only care about the money. I believe that we are truly doomed because of how this is all set up. I don’t think that there is anything we can do because whoever can pass a law that can abolish these acts won’t because I’m sure that they would be paid hush money by someone.
what would you do about this situation inorder to fix it?
do you think we need to get rid of the inhuman slaughter houses?

I think that this is the first time I am hearing about this. What is really crazy is that the government hides so much from us. The little things and the big things. I don' think that we need to get rid of the slaughter houses, but I can understand both sides of the argument.
I won't be doing anything about it. I just choose to live my life. I know that a lot of the things I do are unhealthy but there are some days that I am having a bad day so I stop caring because I put my mental health over wanting to be thinner.
i understand that you won't be doing anything about it because you don't really need to but this isin't about being skinnier, it's more about how the government is set up and hides important things from us about our health.
