i think four hours is pretty ezxtreme. what ever happend to an hour after school? id much rather do that its only really like the longer time period cghanges anything except frustration and boredom, which would impact a normal detention after school anyways.. and saturdays, really? do you know how hard it was to find a saturday my family didnt ahve plans i could miss out on so i could serve one tiring detention?
Seriously. i think that high school isnt even that hard. if people would just obey the simple rules that we have, there wouldnt need to be saturday detentions. They try to be fair and create rules that are pretty easy to follow.
They aren't that bad and usually there's things that lead up to you getting a Saturday. When you get it for getting caught with your phone I think you deserve it, they've given us the privilages of using them during passing periods, lunch and study hall. Turn your phone off and put it away during class if you can't handle the Saturday.
well some people do need to sit there for that long, but really? you cant help if your mom calls you or something during class. So sometimes i dont think they should have to do it for that long. That's like half your saturday down the drain. But of course, people will always say they arent texting when it goes off. In english, we put our phones on the corner of our desks so she knows we aren't using it and its not our fault if it goes off.
i dont even think you should get in trouble if your phone goes off. its not really your fault and if your not on it you shouldnt get a detention. i agree with jenna though In some cases you deserve it but others you dont
