For most of Jume and part of July, i played softball everyday. We usually had a game everynight or had practice from 10 in the morning till 12 or 12:30. I played on the JV and the Varsity team. I also went to the pool a few times. After softball season was over my family and I took a trip to California! We went to Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, San Diego and lots of other cities. While we were there we went snorkeling, kayacking, we went to a San Diego Padres game, we spent lots of time on the beach, and did tons more! When we returned school was only a few weeks away so we spent a weekend at my grandparents. While we were with them we went to the State fair, we went school shopping and fishing. For the next few weeks i just spent my time relaxing and hanging out with friends
During this summer i was on two baseball teams which pretty much took up the whole summer (which kinda stinks). JV baseball i usually had 2-3 games a week and i had practice everyday I didn't have a game. I took Drivers Ed which was a pain. I tried to go fishing as much as i could but that was pretty tough to manage, and finaly I had football camp and then practice until school started.
This summer, for a vacation, I went with Sara to Kansas to stay with her aunt and uncle for a week! We stayed in Kansas City, Missouri for a night, Wichita, Kansas for a night, Liberal, Kansas from Saturday night till Friday, and on Friday we went to Oklahoma City and stayed for a night with her cousin. On Saturday we flew back to Harlan! :) And then later in the summer I went to Adventureland for a day! :)
This Summer, I went to Boundary Waters, Minnesota/ Canada. The Boundary waters is a bunch of lakes all connected together, its out in the wilderness where there is no electricity, no clean water, and no plumbing. Its also located on the border of Minnesota and Canada. This trip was the first time I have ever went out in the wildness for a week without any electricity. I took this trip with my uncle from Paris, My cousin from South Dakota, and my cousin from Vail, Iowa. The first day was a little rough I didn't really know what to expect or what I was getting into. We portaged(a portage is a crossing over land to avoid waterfalls and rapids) all of our supplies for the week and our canoes. Then at about 8:30 p.m. we stopped at a campsite and set up camp after canoeing about 15 miles. The next day we went to another Campsite that was said to be a great place. We set up our camp for the last time and took it easy that day. The 3rd day we went up to a lake that was supposable to good for fishing, and we caught five but had to release them due to laws. The fourth day we took a trip up to Canada and stopped our boat on the Minnesota and decided to walk over some rapids which eventually turned into a waterfall. As we crossed I fell in and was taken under but it’s a good thing I am a good swimmer cause I swam to a rock and pulled myself up. I continued to walk all the way over to Canada still a little scared but so excited cause it was my first time in Canada. The next day we went to the exit and started on our drive back home, we were all glad it was over but we all had a goodtime.
This summer i worked a ton. I got myself a job as a lifeguard and both the outdoor pool and the Wellness Center. I also went to Pensacola, Florida for two weeks to visit my aunt and uncke that have a house down there. While we were in Florida we justt chilled on the beach for the most part and we got to see the Blue Angles fly. My aunt and uncle house was just across the street from the beach, so it was within walking distance. Another thing that i did this summer... i went to South Carolina for my brothers graduation. Austin gradutated from Basic Training, so he is now an American Soldier.
This summer I went to Red Lake Minnesota for a mission trip for my church. We helped clean out the house and garage, cut weeds, and cleaned up the playground so the little kids had a nice, safe place to play and have fun. I also got to interact with the kids of the community and play games with them. It was really fun and interesting to see how different our community is from theirs. My soccer team also went to Iowa Games. We surprisingly placed first after quite the disappointing start. Other than that, i just hung out with friends.
This summer, I went to Branson Missouri for our family's vacation. My older sister is in a group called Faith Sound and they went down there and performed at a church, a amusment park, and they opened for a impersinators at a night show. We were there for three days. We on the last day of the trip we went ziplining....it was fun. This summer I also went to a summer camp were I had the best time ever. I was only there for a week but it was the best time ive ever had. Also this summer I played on a soccer team with Dave Voge. We went to Iowa Games for three days and got 1st place for U-16. I had a pretty good summer.
the last two days I babysat. other than that i went to my grandmas house, the lake and tried skiing, ripped off a roof down to just exposed beams, completed drivers ed, and went to the state fair where i accomplished hanging on a bar with my chin over it for 42 seconds for marines:) yay me.
Your summer sounds a lot like mine. I also passed drivers Ed and babysat. I attempted to water ski when I went to Wisconsin, but I have not yet mastered it (not even close). I am sure you are way better than I am!!
this summer, i went to red lake, minnesota for a mission trip. we helped the community and interacted with the youth. i ment this awesome family and the mother made our group wild rice cassorale while we worked on her house and cut her lawn...
