What Are Your Thoughts On 14 Year Olds Having Jobs?

I think that it is dumb, because what 14 year old really needs money, because people who have jobs normally are working to buy a car, when you are 14, you can't drive anything more then your moms car. 15 is more understandable.

I see were you are coming from. Some 14 year old don't a job so much for them but maybe their family needs more money and instead of mom or dad being gone all to time they decide to just be gone a few hours a day.

Yeah. I agree. If you're having a job when your 14, you're just making it more difficult for other people to have a job. When you're 14 you can't do anything anyway. Why not just let someone else who really needs the money and can actually do stuff at the job work there. Anyone under 16 cant use a knife, chemical cleaning products, sharp objects like a shredder or anything, or somthing like that. So i think its useless for them to have a job. But, do what you want i guess.

If they are willing to do their job to the best of their ability and will try their hardest, I think tthat their is no reason that they should not be able to work. If they are willing to work let them work.

I am not sure if I really have any say in this. There are good and bad for both. The maturity level of a 14 year old is much different than lets say a 16 year old. A 15/16 year olds have a better understanding of what's going on and I feel they would use their time more wisely. But, if 14 year olds work well, and get what they have to get done, done, I don't have a problem with it.

I think if you can find a good job that you actually want to do at the age of 14 then go for it. But it might be harder for a 14 year old to keep a job because you dont have a car and you have to drive unless you work close to your house. And i guess it doesnt matter how old you are when you want to start working cause in some places they wont allow you to start working until the age of 16 so either way its kind of up to the person you are trying to work for.

I think 14 is a good age. Obviously if you want a car by the time your 16 you will have to save money up. What person doesn"t need money you can always save your money up for things you will need when your older

I think that we should have a job so then we can go to the movies and do other stuff because our parents get tired of giving us money eventually. That is just my opinion.

If they want a job let them get a job. I think it's good because they could be earning up for a car or college. I see nothing wrong with it.
