“Welcome to Marwen” is inspired by a remarkable true story. “Marwen,” focuses on Mark Hogancamp, an artist who was the victim of a brutal beating outside a local bar, that left him near death and deprived of memories. To deal with the aftermath, he began posing and photographing dolls, placing them in elaborate scenes in a fictional Belgian town during World War II. The very Mark-like here is joined by a number of heavily armed women, all versions of those in his circle of friends. The locals accept Mark, a colorful figure, dragging around a toy jeep filled with his lifeless but constant companions. Mark’s relatively calm life, is upset by two events: the arrival of a new neighbor; and a calendar date to testify at a sentencing for his attackers (who Mark is reluctant to face). At first, “Marwen” has an intriguing quality, showing how Mark uses his photography to therapeutically work through his consternations.
Do you think art is a great kind of therapy? Would you be willing to try it?
I think art is a great type of therapy. It allows people to express themselves without being verbal. I think I'd be willing to try it, althought I'm not very artistic. There are many types of Art, that you could try.
If someone you know was struggling for any reason, would you suggest art to them?
I think I would suggest art, is allows people to deal with their problems without talking. It is not easy for everyone to deal with their problems verbally.

Good job overall but you could have replied more frequently with only a page and a half of comments.
I think it all comes down to how each individual person copes with tragic events that impact their lives. For him, it clearly helped him deal with what happened, however, for me it wouldn't have helped a single bit because it's something I am not passionate about. It is good to find something that interests you to help with something traumatic that happened in your life, art is not something that interests everybody.
I mean I guess if your in to that kind of thing and you really like art then I think it would be a great way to have therapy if you like drawing and painting and stuff like that me personlly i would not try it i have never been a fan of art
I mean if i know they loved art and if was something they were good at then ya sure but if it has never been there thing and they need to go see a actual therapist then no I would not recomend this to them
I think that art can be a good type of therapy for some people. I don't think it would be my way to go but I would try it. I would suggest it for other people though because although it may not work for me, it could work for them if it relieves their stress.
I think that it's possible for art to be a good therapy depending on the person. For some people, art just isn't their thing, so it may not be the best solution. I would be willing to try it, but art isn't my strong suit. I would suggest art as a way to help them. It could possibly work for that person.
Yes, I think art is a good kind of therapy even if your not good at it. I would love to try to do this. Yes, I would tell them to try out art. I think it would help by destracting them from the thing they are struggling with and maybe they could even get better at drawling.
I think that art is a really good kind of therapy for some people because people are able to express what they are feeling without having to actually say anything. If I were in need I think I would be willing to try it. While it may not be one of the first types of therapy I would suggest to someone, I think I would eventually suggest they try it since there are so many different types of art that you can create. You are not just limited to drawing or painting, you can do practically anything you would like in art.
I think for some people this can be a great way for therapy but as for me, I don't think it is the way I would go. I might be willing to try it, but I'm not sure what would work for me. If someone I knew was struggling, I wouldn't have thought to suggest them to art before now.
I agree it would not be for me, but I'd be willing to try it atleast. I agree, art never crossed my mind as a type of therapy. Yet, art may be a better option for some people.
I think that art is very good therapy, because it allows people to releive their stress without harming anyone or themselves.I would be willing to try it even though I have no artistic ability. I would suggest this for them to try just so they can try it out and see if it works for them.
