In Japan, never stick your chopsticks upright in your rice. In the Middle East, India and parts of Africa, don't eat with your left hand. At a traditional feast in Georgia, it's rude to sip your wine. In Mexico, never eat tacos with a fork and knife. In Italy, drink a cappuccino only before noon.
These are just a few of them. To me, these are weird and fasinating but also important if you go somewhere were the etiquette is different.

In Japan they also think that it is perfectly ok (they even expect it) for you to slurp your noodles, also in China it is rude to finish all the food on your plate.
Not being able to slowly sip wine in Georgia justs sounds like an excuse to chug your friend's wine.
