Weighted Blanket that Helps You Fall Asleep

This weighted blanket is supposed to be about 10% of your body weight. Many people suffering from anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, OCD, and more have seen results with this weighted blanket. The blanket makes you feel like you're being hugged and also puts pressure evenly on your body with certain pressure points. This blanket comes with two different layers for winter and summer months. In their trial, 90% of people said they felt calmer after using the blanket.

Do you think this new blanket will help others in the future? Why or why not?

How much do you think this blanket will cost once it goes on the market?

I think this blanket will help those suffering from anxiety, insomnia, etc. This blanket is scientifically engineered to help them get to sleep quicker, so it should help many people. I don't think this blanket will be very affordable. Only the people suffering from disorders who need the blanket would probably buy it if they could.

  • Interesting topic! Your summary could be a bit longer. Your first sentence should introduce what this thing is first so your audience has a better understanding. You also only replied three times.

  • I think it could. It seems like a very neat idea and with it becoming more popular I don't think people would hate the product. I think it might be a little pricey, most likely more than $50 I think.

  • I know there are already weighted blankets for autistic children. They seem to work well for them, so I'm sure it will help others that are sufferent from anxiety, insomnia, and PTSD, etc. I know that the blankets already designed for those with autism are expensive, unless prescribed by a doctor or therapist. I think it would be a good idea for this blanket to be prescribed by a doctor or therapist.

  • I think this blanket will help others but it won't be without its set backs, I don't think I would like to have something "hugging" me without me knowing it. I think it will cost around 20-50 dollars once it hits the public market.

  • Yes, if it is already helping people then the blanket will most likely continue to help people in the future. It depends on what that make the blanket out of, but if it is just made basic materials I should be reasonably cheap.

  • 1. Yes, since it is already helping people now. I didn't know that blankets like this were made, but now I'm glad I know they exist since it's helping people, and it could also make a good gift to someone that would need it.

    2. It should be reasonably priced, since it's designed more to help people than be a money snatcher. I'm sure that the people that designed this blanket have good intentions with this blanket.

    • I'm such that the inventors do have good intentions with this blanket, but at the end of the day it's a business. They need to make money to keep selling these blankets that help people which most likely take quite a bit of money to make.

  • I think the blanket will defiantly help people because I have seen a few being used before and the people who used them slept better than they had before. I don't think the blanket will be incredibly pricey because it is supposed to help those who need it most, so they should be able to afford it.

  • Yes because if normal blankets don't work then these will especially for people who have these abnormalities.  It will cost a lot at first but that's just like everything new.

  • I think it will help because if I have a heavier blanket when I sleep, I just sleep better. I think this blanket will be a reasonable price, It won't be cheap but I don't think it will be that expensive either.
