Rusty Jones swapped Kansas City Chief tickets for a set of wedding rings. He said he learned about swapping the tickets for rings on CRAIGSLIST! The guys said he wanted to swap the rings and surprise a loved one with tickets to the Dec. 1 game at Arrowhead Stadium, The Kansas City Star. A season ticket holder since 1993, Jones said he and his girlfriend had started talking about engagement rings a month ago. Then he finally got the rings.

What do you think about this? Would you ever swap tickets for a set of wedding rings? Or would you ever swap wedding rings for tickets?

  • Interesting story but you never replied to anyone!

  • Wow. If my future husband ever did this, I would be so angry with him. I hope the woman at least liked the team that he bought the tickets for. I would never swap tickets for a set of wedding rings. I think that sounds pointless. You're going to watch a game you'll enjoy for a night, whereas you could of had rings that would remind you everyday of your marriage. This man is probably in big trouble by his fiance.

  • I don't think I would've have traded either way... I'm not going to trade tickets for some wedding rings, which probably aren't very good or are used... and I definitely would not trade wedding rings for some ticket to a football game

  • Swap wedding rings for tickets to some frivolous game? No! That is ridiculous and impolite, tarnishing those rings like that. I am appalled that someone would do that.

  • I would never do either one of those. Taking away or giving away a wedding ring is like giving away a symbol of your history with the person you married. Wedding rings also seem a lot more expensive than tickets would, so I don't know how it was a fair trade to the person who traded their wedding rings away.

  • I would never swap my wedding rings for some stupid tickets. You go to a game once, but your marriage is for the rest of your life. Wedding rings are very special. Its not something you decide to trade for some football tickets.

  • I would never do this.  I think this would make the person that you were going to marry, feel very unimportant.

  • Well I don't think he should have traded them, I think he should have sold the rings then bought the tickets. If I didn't like the teams that were playing then I might. I would only trade the rings if one of the rings was my ex's.

  • No, I would never swap my wedding rings for some stupid football ticket. This guy basically just wasted his money. Also your wedding rings are supposed to be special and your supposed to want to keep them and have them on. I don't think this guy has any priorities or if he does he needs to check them cause i'm sure his girlfriend would have wanted the ring.

  • I think that is kind of stupid. For one your giving up tickets for wedding rings that were probably used by some other couple. Your wedding rings are suppose to be special not hammy downs. But that's just me.
