There are a surprising amount of people who think the first moon landing was fake. This so called "fake" moon landing happened in 1969 and the rumor of the moon landing being faked started by someone who invested money and time into the project. Coincidentally they quit the project in 1963, 6 years before the moon landing was succesfull, believing that it was " Impossible and the U.S. did not have the technology to go to the moon and back." Honestly I think he was just frustrated that he wasn't an investor at the time of success and started the rumor and today rumors are extremely easy to start, especially if you are a wealthy businessman.
There is just too much evidence confirming the moon landing including pictures and audio records of the conversations between the astronauts and technicians back on Earth. Foreign nations also intervened for the sake of the title of "The First Nation to Go to the Moon." Russia had started to send animals and shuttles to the moon over 10 years before the U.S. had landed on the moon. That also could have been a prime point in if the U.S. was the first nation to go to the moon. A lot of people aparentally say they think it's fake because the shuttle was so thin and made out of simple aluminum but I am sure that the shuttle's material was burned off on re-entry.
In conlusion, I think that the moon landing was real just because there is more evidence that it is real than it is fake. I can defintiely imagine a lot of fake news convincing people that it was fake and with social media and with the internet it is easy to spread your opinion and what you think you know.

I think that the moon landing was definitely real. They did not have the CGI during those times to digitally produce a fake that convincing, and time and time again we have shown that it is nearly impossible to fake the moonlanding even in this information age that we live in. I think that the internet makes it very easy to start rumors, especially since all of the "fact checkers" out there only look at political stances they disagree with and censor them.
I don't think the moon landing was fake because they launched the rocket into space and it didn't come back down for a long time proving that they did go into space. Yes, I do think it is easy to spread rumors and conspiracies on the internet because its really easy to share something and then it spreads really fast. I would not go to the moon because I just like it on earth and wouldn't want to go on another planet.
I don't think that the moon landing was fake because there have been multiple people who have been there, and we have evidence that people have been there. There are always rumors going around, and the internet doesn't help it. Its hard to know if information is true or not anymore. I feel like it would be a fun experience to go to the moon, but I don't know if i would be up to it.
I do not think that the moon landing was faked becauses there is too much evidence of it actually happening. Your theory for why the conspiracy could have erupted makes a lot of sense, and I think most people who do believe that the landing was fake only say it for the drama that comes from conspiracy theories due to the internet.
I agree with you completely and I think that theories like this are absorbed by everybody through the internet. The businessman must have been jealous and frustrated because he had invested so much of his money and gave up any association with the project 6 years before it would become successful.
It is very easy to spread rumurs in todays world but back then it was very easy and very believeable to say what you wanted and have everyone believe it. I think that it was very real because of all the money that was put into putting a man on the moon, it would be pointless to fake it.
