Just like every pep rally students were excited to cheer on there football team for another win! Until, red and white pom poms filled the air and turned the afternoon of pride into shame for some. According to some 3 white men involved in the skit made light of domestic violence in a racist manner. They were playing out the domestic abuse incident that happened in 2009 between Chris Brown and then girlfriend Rhianna. This high school was immediately turned into a racism, and sexism, place! Do you think this was meaning to show racism? What are your thoughts  http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/Music/02/07/chris.rihanna.year.later/index.html

  • I don't think they meant for it to be racist. I think they just wanted to show a skit that everyone has heard of and knows about.

  • I wouldn't really say it was racist in any way, but it was definitely rude and unnecessary, but it could be taken offensively.

  • Well,    now-a-days you never really know with teens. I mean, i sure hope it wasn't. Especially with me having a biratial sister and everything. I don't think it was. Maybe that's just the kindness in my heart talking, but i don't think so. If it was, i hope they get punished. If not, than hopefully everyone had a good time.

  • Well, it could be interpreted that way, but everyone thinks differently, so we don't really know exactly what they were trying to portray.

  • well thats too bad...who knows it might not have been intentonal... but maybe people took it that way...its high school your never know what you are going to get.. or whats going to happen

  • I really don't think this was meant to be racist. They were performing a skit about two famous people, and those famous people are black.

  • I really don't belive that this is racist, and beside with teenagers you never know what your are going to get.

  • That doesn't really seem that racist to me, maybe it was to some people though, it still doesn't seem like a very understandable thing to do. I am in no place to judge though. i guess it is their choice if they wanna show that stuff. Probably some controversy in the school after this happened.

  • I dont think that showing a video is very racist. i think that they were just trying to show some school spirit thats all. no big deal.

  • I definitely dont think the school was meaning to be racist or anything like that.. I can however see how someone would think that.
