Questions
1. Do you think video games should be considered a sport? Why or why not?
I do not think that video games should be considered a sport. When I think of sports, I think of something where you are up and being active. Whether you are with a team or performing individually, you are up and doing something. Whereas video games you're sitting there and only moving your thumbs. I think that video games are more of a hobby and something to do in your free time, not as a lifetime career.
2. Do you think making video games will make a positive or negative impact on our society and why?
I think that making video games a sport and career is going to have a negative impact on society. Yes, that's great you are doing something you're good at and enjoy doing, but it shouldn't be the only thing you do. I think that is a good alternative for people who are physically challenged, but I think that getting out of the house to go and do something productive is going to keep people healthier longer. I know I would not want to sit around all day and play video games. I think that it should be more of a club type thing instead of a school sport.

Super job Aubri!
2 - I think that it will have a negative impact on society. People shouldn't be playing games all day, this will not improve anthing in any way. It promotes kids to stay inside and sit on their butts all day, accomplishing nothing. This will just increase the amount of people without jobs for those that think they can win these competitions and then lose.
I don't think that video games should be considered a sport. What comes to mind when you hear the word sport is usually track, or soccer, or tennis or something physically motivating. Video games make kids and adults less active and are not physically motivating. For this reason, I think video game sports will make a negative impact on society.
1 - No, I don't think that video games, of all things, should be considered a spot. It is just as pass time, there is no real sport involved in pushing buttons to control an animated character. I think that the fact that colleges are giving scholorships is crazy, playing video games is not going to benefit the world in any way.
i think video games will make a negative impact because they keep people from going outside and can cause obesity for those that spend all there time in chairs playing games all there lives.
i don't think that video games should be considered a sport because sports are being active and sitting in a chair staring at a screen isn't active. they are more of a hobby then a sport for sure.
Video games are already considered a sport, with the everygrowing eSports community. I believe that video games will unite people over common areas that they enjoy, gaming. It might be negative, people could/will fight over different areas of superiority.
When thinking about if video games should be a sport, you need to examine all types of video games and start there. If you are just sitting in front of a computer, and or a television, no, I would not consider that a sport. You can argue that maybe an AR game would be a sport, but depending on what thet games about, you could just be bordering on another sport.
I don't think that they should considered a sport. Sports in my opinion are something where you are working hard. Not just siting on a computer or infront of a tv scren staring at it. I think that it will make a negative impact because i think that kids who play video games on a daily or regular basis are considered much more lazy than people do acutal sports like baseball or football.
Like some other sports, video games do not take much physical work. I wouldn't consider it a sport, but more as a competition. I think that it will have a positive impact, as many teens that aren't socially active might have a chance do be recognized for something that they are actually good at. This may bring some people together and might separate others, but it will also have a financial positive effect on many gaming industries and schools.
