As you all know, they have recently allowed people who are 18 and older to receive the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and 16 and older to receive the Pfizer vaccine. They figured that out by having clinical trials on people at the age of 16. The trial went well. They are now beginning to do clinical trials on people between the ages of 12-15 to see if it is also safe for people who are younger. Personally I think this is great. I feel that the more people vaccinated the better; as long as they have done proper testing to make sure it's safe with immune systems of people under 16. I can not wait to get my vaccine when they allow people under 16 to receive it.
Because of the fact that the vaccine is doing so well with people in the age range of 12-15 they have recently begun testing it on children 6 months-12 years of age. They want to make vaccines more and more safe every day so young children don't have any bad reactions. After many trials they believe the vaccine will be tested enough to have people over 12 years of age to receive the vaccine before the start of school next year.
Overall I'm glad they are working so hard to make it available to everyone. I hope that everyone who can get the vaccine will so people will stop having to be quarantined, hospitalized, and sick.
Do you think people between the ages of 12-15 years of age should be able to get it when it becomes available?
Do you think people 6 months and older to get the vaccine when it becomes available?
Would or have you gotten the vaccine?

Good topic choice and pretty good summary Kadense. You should have replied more frequently however. One week late.
I believe that vaccinating under the age of 16 is not a very smart idea for Covid-19 right now. Because right now everyone getting the vaccine are basiclly THE test. They are where the scientist are getting their information from. And considering the vaccine for the Covid-19 strain has only been ligitamitly tested for almost a year until release they are most definatly still learing this virus and our generation doesn't need to be any dumber than they already are.
I think kids in high school should be able to but not the twelve and thirteen year olds. I don't think that they are quite old or mature enough to make that decision for themselves. I don't know about the really young kids getting it though because they are so young and there hasn't been a lot of testing on the vaccine because it came out on emergency.
I would be fine with 2 of of the three vaccines being given to young children as long as they are proven to be safe. the one vaccine that I wouldn't want given to kids is the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as it is currently being halted due to a rare blood clot forming in some people who got it.
If the trials prove the vaccine effective and safe for an age group, then I think they should be able to receive it. I got vaccinated when they opened it to people 16 years and older. I don't think we can lift restrictions until a large portion of the population is vaccinated.
I agree. I think that as long as it is proven to be safe, it should be allowed.
I think if it is safe they should get the vaccine to help this pandemic get over faster. Again if it is safe I think they should but I doubt that it will be safe for 6-month-olds. I have gotten the covid-19 vaccine I got it because my job wanted me to get it.
I agree I think that as long as it's safe they should be able to get it, but for younger people, it might not be such a good idea. I know that I experience no bad symptoms when I got my first shot of the Pitzer vaccine so I'm not worried.
I think the people who are 12-15 should be able to get it if their parents want them to. It's not really like they have much of a choice in the matter because they are a minor child. I think we should wait for children under the age of two but other than that I think they should be able to get it as long as their parents think so. I have gotten my first dose of the vaccine because my family is highly susceptible to the virus so I got it for my and everyone else's safety.
I think that everyone is allowed to have their own opionion however I think that kids are more than hea;lthy enough that they shouldn't need the shot to stay alive when they have to get the shot. I difinitely shouldn't get the shot becuase they are too young.
