USA no longer Ebola free

Dr. Martin Salia ,a surgeon, native to Sierra Leone goes to Africa to help treat Ebola. While treating the Ebola patients in Sierra Leone, Africa, he ended up contracting Ebola. He arrived in the US at 3:51 pm and is currently being treated in Omaha, NE. The doctors at Nebraska Medical Center say he is the sickest they have treated so far. His wife was born and raised in the US and he is a permanent resident in the US.

I think he is lucky to be treated at Nebraska Medical Center instead of the other hospitals in the United States. I hope he is treated successfully so he can go back to his family and be Ebola free.

Do you think it was the decision to have him treated in Nebraska? Do you hope he is successfully treated so he can return home to his family?

  • You probably should have updated your story with the fact that he died.

  • I think that they did all they could to help him. I wish they could just cure the whole disease so no more people around the world would die.

  • I think it was good for him to be in Nebraska because they've been dealing with Ebola cases and done a really good job!

  • The Nebraska Medical center seems to be one of the best hospital in taking care for patients who contracted ebola.  I think he died this night...

    • Yeah the Nebraska Medical Center is one of the best hospitals for this. It just stinks that he didn't make it.

  • It was a good decision because the Nebraska Medical Center is ready for this situation and is one of the best hospitals in the US. Yes I do hope he can return back to his family after he is healed.

    • I agree the Nebraska Medical Center is one of the best places in the US for this. It was just unfortunate that he didn't make it.

  • Eh I think they mostly have Ebola under control now so it should be fine treating patients in the area. Absolutely I hope he is treated successfully so he can go home.

    • The only problem with this case is he was just to sick to treat him successfully.

  • Do I think it was the right decision? Yes. The Nebraska hospitals have proven to be more successful than other hospitals in treating Ebola patients. The guy deserves the right treatment, even if some people don't want him to be in America.

Yes, I hope he is treated successfully and makes a full recovery without infecting other people first. The more Ebola patients we can treat and save, the more we know about treatments and cures to save others and the more we can return home.
