A week ago yesterday Republican senator Rand Paul what outside of his house in Bowling Green, Kentucky when his neighbor Rene Alber Bouher tackled Paul. Initially reports were reported at minor injuries but was later discovered that he substaned five rib fractures, displaced fractures and bruised lungs. The suspect could result in severe charges like felony assault.

Did you hear about this event taking place? Where did you hear about it?

Do you think that this should have been more attention?

I did not hear about this assault, just read about it on CNN.

I think that caring and hearing about what happens to our Senators is important.

  • Good overall. Your summary is a bit brief and I also think you could have commented a few more times.

  • I didnt hear about this, this is the first time Ive heard of it . I don't think there should be that much attention brought to it. They are people too, and if someone tackled another in a regular neighborhood I don't think it would be on the news.

    • Do you think that being a senator is is more important than just another person?

  • No I did not hear about the event. No I do not because there was not that much damage to the Senator and a few rib fractures and bruised lungs isn't anything that important, and if they would have gave it more attention then things would have gotten out of control.

    • Why do you think that our senator shouldn't get news of what has happened?

  • I didn't hear about any of this until I read this. I don't think this should be a huge story line because Paul may not want it to be a huge deal and keep it down low.

  • I never once heard about this anywhere. There probably should have been more direct news attention towards something like this happening. But now a days we don't always learn about things as fast as we want to. My favorite example of this was Carrie Fisher's passing. news about what happened and her condition was slow until she had already passed.

  • I didn't hear about this assault until reading this. I don't think it should have had more attention because everything is exaggerated and its family privacy that shouldn't be invaded.

    • I didn't hear about this assault either until reading this article. I agree with you about keeping it more private. He might want to have this situation more private and not have the whole world know about it. Since its family privacy, they also probably don't want others to know all what happened.

  • No, I haven't heard about this until now. I heard about it from you.No. i think it doesnt because everything just get blown out of proportion these days. Stuff like this isnt noticed these days its the stupid stuff that does
