New York Jets Coach, Rex Ryan will be fined 75,000 - 100,000 dollars for cursing at a fan after their loss against the Patriots. Ryan told a fan to "shut the F' up" while walking into the locker room, Rex Ryan said this because the former fan yelled "Hey Rex, Belichick's better than you'' which must have made him upset. Ryan's response made other fans laugh and cheer. Rex apologized afterwards saying "This is who I am" and "I'm about as big a competitor as there is, at that time, i was in no mood to hear anything, but I also understand I have to handle it better." After admitting he made a mistake. Last year Rex was fined 50,000 dollars because of making an obscene gesture in an event in Miami.
I don't blame Rex. I would be pissed if i were losing! And its freedom of speech! ;) I think the fan should also be fined because he put it on himself.

It wasnt right of the fan to say anything. Freedom of speech defianitly. I would be really upset and probably went up and had a man to man talk with the fan. They both deserved to be fined but i think the Rex's fine was a little to steep.
Maybe this fine will shut Rex Ryan up. He runs his mouth a lot in the preseason that this is the team to win the next Super Bowl. PS. We are still waiting. He is very competitive and will need to learn how to be a good loser.
I would have just ignored the fan because you know he just trying to make you made and do something that you will regret and the fan obviously didn't like the coach so the fan was just mouthing off to get the coach in trouble.
That is a huge fine to pay. That was unsportsman-like for a fan to yell that, but Rex needed to handle the situation better especially since many kids look up to him as a rolemodel. It would be hard but I would try to ignore the fan's comment and just walk away.
Thats so crazy! i mean ya the coach should control himself but that much money just for saying a bad word. Id be living on the streets if i got sued when i said a bad word. I hate to say it, but bad words are a part of daily living in the USA today. Its pretty much our culture.
I would probably have said something to the fan or gone up their and had a few words with the guy. The fine part, idk, i wouldnt fine him that much money because their is no point really, just say shut up and leave. The fan probably should be involved in this also.
I know that some people don't like cursing, but seriously? a 100,000 dollar fine?? that seems a little much... But, then again, it's baseball....
ya i would have said somethig to the fan but you have to think almost everyone at hose games over 21 is drinking so there not them self
