University of Pittsburgh

Since mid-February many classes have been disrupted because of dozens of bom.b threats at the University of Pittsburgh, it even prompted students to find housing off of the campus right before the semester ends.
Since the first warning about hidden explosives was found on the wall in a public women’s bathroom on February 13 there have been 56 more. Some were written on walls and sent by e-mail. On Monday alone 12 threats were received.
The police are saying that there have been no explosions and that none of the explosives have been found.
With each threat that was discovered the university responded by evacuating students and bringing in bomb squads to scour the buildings, the sweeps can take hours which makes students and facility out of the classrooms and libraries. The university was contacting students through the emergency notification system, e-mail, text messages, and twitter.
They are offering a $50,000 reward for any information so that they can make an arrest.

What would you do if you were put in this situation?

  • thats pretty stupid of whoever it is doing it. im sure it is more than one person too though. i dont understand what kind of person would make the whole campus cobnstantly live in fear like that. it takes a special kind of human being, and not in a good way.

  • This would be crazy! I don't know what id do if this happened in Harlan!
