A Japanese man has set a new Guinness World record for being the oldest competitive sprinter at 105. Hidekichi Myazaki a father of four and a grandfather of ten completed the 100 meter dash in 42.22 seconds at the Kyoto Masters competition.I addition to sprinting he competed in the shot put throwing it 3.25 meters. Myazaki didn't take up track and field until he was 93 years old.
Why do you think someone his age would want to continue running track and field?
What do you think will stop him from reaching his goal of completing the 100-meter dash in under 40 seconds?

Good job but you could have replied a few more times.
I think someone his age took up running and track and field to stay young and in shape. I think they only thing that may stop him from completing his goal is if he has health issues due to being so old.
Well when you are that old, if it interests you than do it if you can because you need to do something to keep yourself motivated. His age but if he really wants to do it he can.
if he can still run at 105, i think he should keep doing it, and i hope he reaches his goal
He might enjoy running. Running may be his favorite thing to do. He might have been just been trying to reach his goals before he had no more time to. The only thing that could stop him is probably his family, or doctors telling him it would not be safe for him to do.
I think that it maybe let him feel free when he runs. I don't know what hims will stop. I think he really fight for it and when you fight for something you can do it.
I think thats pretty cool to be that old and still have the speed to run and energy to run that fast.
Being a runner, I can definitely see why he wants to keep running- it's great! I think the only thing that might affect him is his age, but if he keeps training, he has a good chance!
Yeah he might live to complete his goal if he keeps training and he stays healthy and not get in sicknesses
I think he just wants to live his older years as fun as he can. If anything, his age is a big constricting factor. His body is just not going to be cut out to do it anymore.
