In the country of Ukraine as many as 100,000 protesters have took the streets of Kiev. Their one goal was to knock down the monument of Vladimir Lenin. They knocked down the statue and then the proceeded to smash the statue. They did this because of they were tired of the Soviet occupation in their country.
What are your thoughts about this event?

It is a good thing that they are standing up for what they believe in but it is not a good thing because some people will get hurt during all the riots and ruckus. But it is a great thing to make there country stronger and more united.
I think that it is good that they are standing against this. Though, people can get hurt from doing this.

I think that is a good thing for them. Now their country could become better and have better things come to them
I think they're doing the right thing in the wrong way here. Protests are pretty much always the only way anyone can actually change the government, it's just that it should be more peaceful at first. People should just all go show how many people have a problem with the government and try to work from there.
I think that people need to learn how to do things peacefully. I saw this on the news and it was chaos. I'm all for people taking a stand to change the government, but just vandalizing a statue isn't going to change things in that country.
I think that this is most likely a good thing for the fact of getting Soviet occupation out of the country, the down side to it is that many people may die from this if a war would break out.
A war is the last thing they need. They should focus on rebuilding their destroyed city first.
