Mall of America has a slight problem. With their 30,000 live plants, there comes a pesky little creature. Aphids! They like to eat plants, which the Mall has plenty of. Their natural enemy? Ladybugs!! The Mall has turned to 72,000 ladybugs to eat the aphids instead of pesticides. Just make sure they dont end up in your food!

I thinnk they could have come up with something better. Now the ladybugs are going to become pests too.
They might lose a lot of business because of that...I would be so grossed out!
Why wouldnt they just get rid of the plants?! It is really hard to get rid of aphids especially with a bad outbreak like that.. We have been talking about that in ag because we are learning about plants. And 72,000 lady bugs?! Thats just crazy..
that is crazy! i would just get rid of the plants or something to make it a lot easier for everyone. That is disgusting! Why would you release bugs into a mall where people eat and spend a lot of time? Maybe they should find a different way to get rid of the aphids besides ladybugs!
I think this is a smart idea in theory but whether it would actually work or not is the real question. I feel like the health of the public is probably more important than a few ugly plants. Maybe plastic plants? That seems like a more logical solution.
I think this would be really annoying to be shopping with all of these bugs! If I was there, I wouldn't want to be always slapping at the ladybugs while shopping. maybe plastic plants?
What a creative way for a place as big as that mall to deal with a problem like that! I'm not sure how I would feel about seeing ladybugs all over the place. They are gross and they smell.
Hey, usually the solution to one thing causes another problem. I am sure the ladybugs will die or go away. This is also a huge mall lots of space in it, so you have plenty of places to eat.
haha that is really funny and really cool. Its good to see people using nature to solve issues rather than harmful substances i hope everything works well and no ladybugs end ujp in peoples clothes or food.
THIS IS NASTY! They should not have them in the mall, maybe they should just have fake plants! Cause i don't what to have worry if I have a ladybug in my food
