Do you prefer hiking in warmer climates or hicking in Colder climates? Why?

I would prefer hiking in warmer climates because you would need to pack and wear less layers compared to cold climate.

What is the scariest situation youve been in caused by nature?

Ive been in a two mile radius of a tornado on vacation.

  • I would prefer hiking in a warmer climates because you wouldn't have to wear as much clothing also I wouldn't want to freeze while trying to climb. At the top of my head I can't think of a scary situation that I have been in.

  • I prefer to hike in warm weather.  I don't like cold weather.

This winter we were driving back from Des Moines and it was snowing really hard.  My dad was driving and we could not see the road at all.  It was a long scary ride home.

  • I prefer hiking in warmer climates, but I haven't ever hiked anywhere really cold before. I would definitely rather hike somewhere colder if the alternative was hiking somewhere really hot. I have gotten stuck in a ditch due to the snow drifting over ice.

  • if I go hiking I prefer something between warm and cold because if it's cold you have to waer too many layers, but if it's too warm being outside and walk isn't fun. I have been locked in my house while an Avalanche hit it. It wasn't dangerous inside the house, but it scared me.

    • right in between hot and cold would be perfect for walking and not have to worry about layer and not worry about getting too hot. That must have been quite the expirece being locked inside during an avalanche.

  • I don't hike that much but when I do I'd rather have warm weather. The scariest situation I've been in caused by weather is probably when I was outside during a storm and a tree about 50 feet away got struck by lightning and fell over.

    • I agree warm wather sounds much nicer then hiking in cold weather. that would have been crazy watching the tree fall and even hearing the crack of the lightning.

  • If it were up to me, I would choose to hike in warmer climates. In warmer climates I would not have to worry about ice or snow. This was not caused by nature, but one time at my grandpas, my cousin forgot to put the brake on and almost hit me with the gater.

    • I agree i think hiking in warmer climates would be ideal especially to avoid the ice snow and cold weather. Ive been in a similar situation when i was younger and my bother hopped into the drivers seat of the car when my parents were in the store and put the car in reverse.
