Scientists have researched and used a cloning method to create two healthy monkeys, for the first time. This is a huge breakthrough because it means that scientists are another step closer to being able to also clone humans one day. There has been other successful cloning done with other types of animals before the monkey. The world's first ever successful cloning was with a sheep named Dolly, who was born in 1996. After the sheep, there has been many other clonings of mammals, including dogs, cats, pigs, and ponies. This is the first time, however, that scientists have been able to create clones of primate, monkeys, apes, and humans. The cloned female baby macaque monkeys are now about 8-9 weeks old and named Zhong Zhong and Hua Hua. This process did take about 127 to get the result of these 2 baby monkeys.

Questions -
1) Do you think one day scientists will be able to successully clone humans? Explain.
2) Why do you think scientists are nervous to attempt to clone humans?
My Answer -
I do think that one day scientists will be able to clone humans because science keeps advancing more and more, and because they already cloned monkeys and they are the closest mammal to humans. I think they are nervous to attempt the cloning of humans because humans are so complicated and there wouldn't really be a reason to clone them.

Great job Josie!
Yes i think that one day Humans will be able to be cloned, because science is evolving by every succsess toward cloning more and more animals. And i think they are nurvous to try and clone humans because there could be many things to go wrong with cloning humans and they are afraid to mess with cloning humans until they are 100 percent sure that it will work.
Do you think they will continue to clone different animals before they attempt to clone humans for the first time? I agree, scientists wouldn't want to attempt to clone humans unless they knew exactly what they were doing and they knew that it would definitely be successful.
I don't think so because scientists only now a tiny, miniscule fraction of what makes us human and how we operate. God creates each human different from each other, and the human DNA is so complicatedly unique that there is no way it could be replicated. I think scientists are nervous about cloning humans due to the immoral factor that would lead to widespread anger.
You have a great point, scientists might not know everything they need to know about humans and how we function, and each human is different from each other, but so were the monkeys, and other species, and they were all successfully cloned.
1) I hope so. It will not be for awhile but once people start improvig and technology starts imporving I think that they will be able to.
2)I think that this could maybe harm humans until they get that right and maybe cost loves so I think that is why.
About how long into the future do you think scientists will be able to successfully clones humans? I agree, scientists would need to do experiments on humans to be able to one day clone them and this could harm humans.
1. yes maybe it possible but there will be road block for them.
2. Because it weard to clone someone look exatly like you and could be complicated.
What kind of a road block do you think there would be for them? I think it will definitely be possible for them to clone humans, but it would be kind of hard for them to clone a person's thoughts, I think they would be able to clone the exterior of a person.
I think with all the technology advancements that have been arising in recent years it is very possible that humans will eventually be able to be cloned. I think they would be nervous to attempt the cloning because there are high risk of side effects and a very high possibility of failure.
