On october 29, 2018 their was a shooting at one of north carolinas high schools. They say that it started with bullying that spiraled out of control to the point where the suspect brout a gun to solve the problem brought a gun to solve the problem. the first responders started giving aid as soon as 20 or 30 second after it happend. The school immedeatly went into lockdown. The cops found the suspect after he admitted the crime to a teacher. The victum died on the scene.
What do you think it the root cause for school shootings?
I think that bullying and mental heth both play a role and that we shoud stop this from being the problem
How do you think we can solve this problem?
I think that we can solve this problem by having stricter rules on bullying and have more people trying to stop it befor it gets out of control.

1. I think mental health and being exposed to lots of violence in media has a lot to do with it. These shooters almost always have terrible home lives, too.
2. I think having more security at schools would be a good step, but improving mental health would be a good solution, too.
I think that intense bullying was definetly the cause of this incident. The bullying must have been so bad if it went to this extreme of matters. Well if no one would bully people then that would solve it right there, but that is easier said then done.
Bullying is a serious problem and it is very hard to be able to find a solution to it. However, I think one way to try and prevent it is by making cases of bullying known. So I belienve if a person knows about a case of bullying they should let a trusted adult know. By doing that hopefully shootings caused by bullying can be prevented.

Bullying defenitly contributes to school shootings, and some of them do have a mental illness. There could be other reasons behind them but they are probably less comon. To solve this problem a lot will have to happen but renforcing rules and having conciquences for people that do bully is one step we could do.
I think it's getting old and it keeps happening. They need to have a background check to see if their mentally stable. Bullying also could be a reason but shouldn't kill someone there is provided help. Talk to parents and couenslors etc. We should have stricter gun laws so people who are mentally ill don't have right to have a gun and shoot people.
I think there are a lot of people that hold something against someone so they just decide to shoot someone because they think it is easier and an more effective way of ending the problem instead of trying to solve it in a more responsible fashion. I think there needs to be more willing and helpful teachers that will talk to students if they feel like they havea problem.
I really couldn't tell you It could be a number of things. Like in this case it was bullying that spiraled out of control or maybe the person could be very upset with the other person and want them dead. In some cases it's an adult and sometimes they do it because they have a nervouse brake down or do it because they love putting people in pain and things like that. Maybe having something that can see through clothes and bags to make sure theres nothing in them or a scaner. We could also have gaurds at the doors to make sure things like this dosen't happen.
The cause of school shootings is likely connected to the increased suicide rate, mainly this generation is more depressed on average, and some may take that sadness and turn it into deep hatred. I think we just need to improve the security of many schools, if they can't get in they can't shoot anybody.
