Turkey Shoots Down Syrian Plane.

Sunday March 23, a Syrian fighter jet wondered into Turkey airspace and was shot down by two of Turkeys F-16's. Turkeys Prime Minister said that "if you violate my airspace, then from now on, our slap will be hard". There were two airplanes heading towards Turkey, but one veered off and the other kept going. The Turkish military said that they warned the jet four times but it kept going. The pilot of the plane did eject form the jet and landed safely.

Why do you think the pilot of the jet would keep going after his partner turned around?

And why did they answer to any of the four warnings given by Turkey?

  • Well done!

  • I think that they should have listened to the Warnings and none of this would have happened.

  • I think that Turkey maybe thought they were being attacked or something bad was going to happen, so they tried to prevent it from happening.

  • I think he was probably just not paying as much attention or something. I am glad he is okay.

  • Thats kind of a weird story! Maybe it was some sort of terrorist attack that went wrong. Who knows?

    • Very possible. At least everyone's okay.

  • They pry couldn't hear what was going on, otherwise i dont get why they didnt turn around.

  • If it were me in that plane and I was told to turn around or I would be shot down I'd be turning around real quick.

  • I think the pilot should have turned around after the warnings. or answer the warnings and say what he was doing

  • I think that shooting down a plane is extreme but I guess it is a safety issue. I am glad that he landed safely but I don't get why he didn't communicate with the people who were telling him to go back.
