Lil Wayne and Kodak Black may be free men soon. In Trumps last 2 weeks of his presidency he had decided to pardon a few people and on the list where Kodak Black and Lil Wayne. They also where on the list because they where the closest to him. Kodak and Lil Wayne both had previous charges that where still up in the air.
Both repers have been charged with fedral weapon charges. Both sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison. The reson for there sudden pardon is still remail under question. The talk about Trump pardoning himself had people talking then all of a sudden the word was anounced that he would be pardoning kodak and wayne. The community had very quick mixed opinions on the subject.
It is no secret that Lil Wayne is a Trump supporter. The rapper has been very transparent with his endorsement of the administration, often tweeting about the former president’s reform efforts during his election campaigns in 2020. What is not well-known is that, according to the rapper’s lawyer Bradford Cohen, Wayne’s pardon is claimed to be all thanks to "President Trump and his administration." Who he claimed “have been tireless advocates on behalf of the African-American community.” When suspicions arose about Wayne having supported Trump precisely because of the power of his presidential pardon, Cohen denied them.
If you where there lawyer would you let Trump pardon them?
Do you think Lil Wayne is only a Trump supporter because he is going to pardon him?

Good story choice Stefan! Be sure to include more of your thoughts and opinions into your summary next time. You didn't reply to any student comments which is worth 30 points. -20 --Two days late.
If I was their lawyer I wouldn't feel the right to tell the President no, but I'd strongly advise against it. Trump has done a great many phenomenal things, but he's always ready to be apart of a publicity stunt, which is what I believe this is. And I don't know enough about Little Wayne to say whether or not I believe he'd do this.
I think that would be very bad on the presidents part because yeah you don't know what they have done or what they still are very capable of doing once they get released. It could put a long of peoples lives in danger potentially.
I believe that he shouldn't have pardoned a lot of people because of how he left office. His last months on office weren't very peaceful and even though he had the right to pardon them this action doesn't favor him much. At this point he should've left as quietly as possible.
I think it was kind of stuipid on his part because that makes you look bad and you don't know what they have done. I honestly don't care that Trump did this, but other people probably would think this is stuipid. I think that it is fine and now I will be able to listen to more music too.
If I was a lawyer I would let Trump pardon Kodak Black and Lil Wayne because he has the right to do that and they can't take that away. I don't think lil Wayne is only a Trumpe supporter because he supports republican ideas and politicians.
I would've let Trump pardon them. I would've let him do it because he was the president of the United States and you have to do what you need to before you back down off of your pedestal. But pardoning rappers would have been lower on my list.
I think Lil Wayne really could be a Trump supporter, however I think he really supports him since he said he might pardon him. So, of course he is going to support somone that is might lift his sentence, like anyone would do. However, I do not know Lil Wanye's beliefs and what he all supports, so he very well could be a true Trump supporter.
I believe that Lil Waynes reasoning for supporting Trump has a decent possibility of being to get a pardon, however it is unlikely for someone to actually believe that could happen to them for supporting the president.
If I was a lawyer I would let Trump pardon Lil Wayne and Kodak Black because he has the right to do it. I do not think Lil Wayne is only a Trump supporter because he is going to pardon him because I think he supports Trumps ideas and other republican polititians.
