What do you think about the over purchasing of supplies?

I think that it is a bit ridiculous becuase if everyone over buys then there wont be enough for others and that might just amke the situation worse.

What are you/ your family doig to prepair for wose case scenarios?

My family is not doing anything really we normaly buy food for a week so we dont go to the store often. yet, I know I will be baby sitting for a little bit.

  • Overall, your summary is a bit brief.

  • I think its not very practical especially the things they are choosing to buy because they are acting like its the apocalypse which is just taking away more supplies for people who might actually need them. We haven't really done anything special except for do a bit of shopping for food and stuff other than that we haven't really gone overboard like most people

  • I think that fear is causing to purchase so much things for the store, but they are over doing it and taking away things from others who also need them. I think that the president's statment was too lax, because in the end this is a serious disease and people are dying.

  • My family is just buying what we need. Our biggest worry is that with the way people are buying out stores, we won't be able to get stuff we need. I personally don't think that it's gonna be as bad as the news is making it sound. More people die from the flu than coronavirus.

    • I think that if everyone had the same mentality of get what we need then Im sure we would be better off but some people belive that the world is going to end so they over buy this stuff. Although I hope the government gets this under controll before it gets too detrimental.

  • I also think it is rediculous how people are all freaking out and buying stores out of supplies. Some people are just hoarding stuff for no reason. If everyone just bought what they actually need, we wouldn't have this problem. I think more stores need to start putting limits on the amount of stuff people can buy.

    • That is a good idea for stores to start limiting people for the ammount of certin supplies they can buy but some corperations might just want the money they get for all these products being purchased. Yet, if people are buying so much of this wont the price for these items get inflated or since this is a rare occurence do things stay the same?

  • My family is staying home and taking certain procautions to make sure we don't catch the virus. We are cleaning our house constantly and washing our hands constantly. We are buying a good amount of food and other supplies at a time so we don't have to go out as much.

    • I agree with you on the buying up food so that you dont have to go out  too much and possibly be exposed to virus but it comes down to the ammount of food and supplies that people are buying so do you think there is point where one can be too prepaired?

  • I think that people are overreacting by purchasing too much supplies. Some people are in need of certain supplies but can't get any because the stores are out of them. They are not helping the situation by buying supplies for themselves they are making it worse for others.
