An 11 year old boy was participating in a triathlon. Nothing there seems uncommon, except for his age maybe. The thing that is different is he has a prosthetic leg. During the last portion of the race, he felt like something was wrong. The screws in his leg were coming loose. He collapsed to the ground. He didn't know whether he should crawl to the end of the finish line or hop on one leg. A marine who was also in the race, saw him and asked if he needed help. The marine picked the boy up and carried him to the finish line. The boy has had the leg since the summer of 2009. During one of his soccer games, the leg came loose, and he took duct tape, taped the leg, and finished the game.
I find this amazing. It's neat to see that some people in today's society will still help others. I am very impressed by the fact that the boy will participate in the triathlons etc despite his condition. He didn't let it stop him. As you can read, he is very active! What are your thoughts?

That's really awesome that the marine helped him out! its also really cool that the boy is so active in so many things and he isn't letting that fact that he has a prosthetic leg stop him!
This is truly amazing! I think he is so courageous and brave to do this! I think people with disabilities are truly the bravest people you will ever met, and also the nicest people.
This young boy is very inspiring. Not a lot of people would continue to participate in triathlons, soccer, etc. I love that the marine helped the young boy finish the race by carrying him. Hopefully a doctor or whoever can find a way to keep the screws from coming loose when he is being active.
I think thats amazing that he still has the will power to keep going even with his disability

I think it's great that he has the motivation to do those types of things, even though he has a prosthetic leg. And it's also great that the other man helped him.
That's awesome, he's showing everyone that no matter what the situation you can do whatever you set your mind to do if you have the mindset.
that is truly an inspirational story, that would be hard enough to finish a triathlon as and eleven year old, but then an eleven year old with a prosthetic leg. Thats crazy but props to the boy and the marine who helped him finish.
I think that kid is truly an inspiration and it is amazing all of the things that he has had to overcome. I think that he is very brave to have overcome his disability and is doing things that even completely healthy people with two legs are incapable of. And as for the marine who helped the boy, he has some good karma coming his way for helping the boy. This story is very heart warming.
Well im so happy for him that he got to finish the race. Im glad we have people out there that will help the other people in need. Im also glad that the boy will do sports and everything beings he only has one leg and the other is prosthetic.
