NBA player Trae Young drilled a deep three in the third quarter agains the Bulls and proceedes to stare down Kris Dunn with his hands on his hips which drew a technical and an ejection. Earlier in the game the two were saying things to each other and stuff was said between the two. Trae Young continued to explain that he "try's to" play with emotion, passion, effort, and a little bit of flair. Young finished with 18 points and 5 assists. The game went into quadruple-overtime and the Bulls lost.

1. Do you think it was fair to eject him?

2. Do you think that a stare down is inappropriate in the NBA?

  • I don't think that he should have been ejected because he was just looking at him aggressively. It would have been a different story if threatening words were used or if he tried to touch him. I think that it's normal for this to happen in the NBA, just like it is any other sports.

    • I agree with you that he shouldn't have been ejected from the game for staring someone down after a good shot. The way he did it didnt effect anyone didnt hurt anyone in any way. I think it is very normal for NBA players to stare down eachother.

  • It is true that it is not right to play with someones emotions on the court, but I think what Young did was not deserving of an ejection. For the most part, I would say that a stare down would be inappropriate, it just throws people off.

    • Yeah kind of but that can sometimes lead to sports players to work harder and get better at what they do and show the person that is showing emotion to them that they are just as good as them and can make the same kind of shots as them.

  • I think that ejection is wrong. It may have been a bit childish but it is not against the rules to stare down. I think that it may be innapropriate in some ways but I believe that an ejection is ridiculous and it should've been handled better.

  • I think that the ejection is ridiculous. A stare down is not against the rules and is small compared to a fight or a physical argument. NBA players are full of "flair" and they express their emotions when on the court. It is not abnormal and an ejection because of a stare down is over the top.

  •  no it was not fair to eject him a lot of nba player stare down at other players take for example lebron james the dude stares down at someone eeverytime he dunks  on them and he doesnt get ejected. I personaly dont think that a stare down is inapproriate in the nba players do it all the time it just away to tell the other guy aye i am watchign you

    • I agree with you that he shoudnt of been ejected for staring another player down cause a lot of players do it and they arent getting ejected for it. The other player couldve done the same thing to someone but would he get ejected from the game, probably not.

  • I think that he was just trying to intimidate the other play and it was not neccesary for ejecting him. I think the stare down was very childish on both ends. They could have avoided this whole thing by just continuing on with the game and not making a scene or being childish.

  • I think it wasn't fair to eject someone for looking at someone else. If he was mad sure he should've vented in another manner but it's not wrong to look at the opponent with a slightly foul look because they scored over/beat you in a match.

I think it happens normally, only some players take it better that others.
