NBA player Trae Young drilled a deep three in the third quarter agains the Bulls and proceedes to stare down Kris Dunn with his hands on his hips which drew a technical and an ejection. Earlier in the game the two were saying things to each other and stuff was said between the two. Trae Young continued to explain that he "try's to" play with emotion, passion, effort, and a little bit of flair. Young finished with 18 points and 5 assists. The game went into quadruple-overtime and the Bulls lost.
1. Do you think it was fair to eject him?
2. Do you think that a stare down is inappropriate in the NBA?

Good job replying! I do think your summary is a bit brief overall. Be sure to inlcude personal thoughts.
I think if they were asked to stop before with their back and forth comment that maybe he deserved to be tossed. I dont think a stare down is gunna hurt anyone but the officals were probably tired of the way they acted the whole game.
I agree with you that if it had happened more than once and it hadnt stopped i would do something about it if i was the ref. Yeah little things like that can irritate an official expecially if it keeps happening the whole dang game but i dont think he deserved to be ejected if he did it one time.
I think that ejecting him could have been a little bit over the top for a consequence to this. I think that stare downs should not be legal but I think that warnings should be given before ejecting someone.
I think being ejected was a bit much but he probably shouldn't have been acting that way in the first place so it's mainly his fault. They should try to avoid stare-downs and be sportsmanlike but it's hard to tell if it was being excessively rude or just a normal interaction between players and I don't think there should be rules against it.
I don't think it was fair to do that, but I can also see the point of it being a concern. I don't think that it is inappropriate because he's just staring at the other player, but like I said I can see the extent that people get concerned even though you're supposed to intimidate the other team.
Sports these day are all about money now. Players can't do this or the can't do that. The game just needs to be played for the entertainment of the audience and the fans. But instead they have to give technicals over stupid things like this yeah maybe he was taunting alittle bit but so what its part of the game.
I do agree with you that sports should be played for the entertainment of the people and not have to worry about all the techicals, and most of those players tell young kids that its just a game have fun, and then they go and stare someone down cause of a shot, i dont think he deserved to be ejected but he was childish.
I agree the sports now aren't really for the players anymore or for the people watching the owners of the teams are just trying to get more money because most everyone is about trying to become more and more rich.
I do agree with you that a lot of sports are just for the money and not even really about the the coaches or the players that are playing the sport the players just want to get more rich and keep getting money till they look better than other players.
