Toledo Mayor has a Cardiac Arrest while driving

While Toledo Mayor Micheal Collins was driving home; he suffered a cardiac arrest. After he lost consciousness a women broke his car window and pulled him out of the car. After he was out of the car she performed CPR. It gave him enough time make it to the hospital. He is currently in critical condition. All of this happened during a snow emergency.

I think it was amazing that she decided to stop and happened to save his life. I think he was blessed with a person who knew CPR actually stopping and helping him.  It is amazing that she had something in her car in order to break the window. Even if he is in critical condition he is lucky to be in the hospital right now.

Would you have stopped during a snow storm in order to help somebody and why? Would you have been able to break the window and perform CPR?

  • Good choice of topic! Be sure to comment more regularly.

  • I'm not sure if I would have stopped during a storm but if I would have saw him in there like passed out or looking non conscious then yes I probably would have. I don't care how but I would find a way to break the window.

  • I think this lady was defiantly being a good Samaritan. I think if it was a snow storm and someone needed help I would stop and help them because you do not want them to not get any help at all. You also have to think, "what if that was you." I do not know how to do CPR so I do not how much help I would be.

    • I agree I would also try to help all that I can even if its not enough.

  • I would have 100% yes stopped, because it's the right thing to do. It's what I'm here for if needed, to help others. Yes, actually I would have been able to break the window, and yes I am certified in CPR. I would have done everything I could to save that man's life.
