I heard about this on TV. This just goes to show that anything can happen even though you think it never could happen. I bet this incident made every school check their cables for their hoops.
i dont think i will be paranoid about sitting under basketball hoops. Just because it happened once doesnt mean it happens all the time.
They should of have had better maintenance of their equipment, if they would have noticed the problem they could have duct taped it. Duct tape fixes everything.
wow thats scary! i wonder if the school will have to pay for the bills of the injured folks!?
This is really scary. I'm glad that everyone ended up okay. I think that I will not be sitting in that area ever again.

That is terrible! I hope those people are okay and i hope schools take safety precautions more on that kind of stuff.
This is so weird! youd think that if the cable broke there would still be the support hanging there unless it swung down. I think it would hurt a lot and I wonder how injured they are
This is a complete freak accident. This has never happened before and will most likely never happen again due to all the safety procedures that are in place. I hope that the two adults will be okay.
Wow that is so scary! If I were to ever get injured that way i would probably never go to a gym again! But they should have made sure that it was secure in the first place to prevent something like that accident ever happening.
