Your children will never know the struggles of rewinding a VCR tape, let alone know what one is. DISH Network, who bought Blockbuster in 2011, announced it was closing the 300 remaining Blockbusters along with it's distribution centers. "Consumer demand is clearly moving to digital distribution of video entertainment," said CEO Joseph P. This action was well expected. Blockbuster stores have been closing over the years, as well as customers vanishing from their parking lots. Most people didn't even know there were any Blockbuster stores left.
Are you upset about Blockbuster closing? Do you use online sources to watch movies? Did you even know there were any Blockbusters left?

Good job once again!
I did know they were closing and I think there is one by the Mall of Bluffs? All of the movies I watch are from on online source. The online source I use is free and has fairly new movies so for me it's pointless to use Netflix or Blockbuster.
I really never noticed if they were still open because I never went there. I can see why they don't have as much business with Netflix and RedBox as competition. I personally like those 2 better because they are cheap and easy access.
Honestly I am not upset about the closeings. The other day I went to watch a movie and my little brother didnt even know what it was. The blockbuster's have been loosing fame and customers for a while with other such companies as Netflix, redbox, ect.
I know my family uses Netflix. We haven't bought a VCR tape in a very long time. I don't think is is much of a surprise, some of the older movies on coming out on DVD now. Everything has advanced from VCRs.
I used to go to Blockbuster when I was little, but it was at a minimum. I loved watching movies and all that, but most of the time I wasn't the one to go out and get them with my parents, so I'm not as attached to the stores as I could be. However, it's always sad to see things close, and this is no different. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would hate to see it go, but online sources are filling up the position, now. I use online sources for movies, definitely, but I suppose that's a given for this generation.
I also went when I was younger. I hated when there was a new release you were looking for, and it was gone. That's an advantage for online movies, since they don't have a limit of releases to let people view. I went to Blockbuster a lot when I went to my mothers in the summer, so it's a part of my childhood. That's the only reason I'll miss it.
I don't care that they are closing because I never go to them. I use some online movies but not very often. I didn't even know they were closing let alone if there were any left.
I have never been to a blockbuster so I won't miss them (like anyone will) I mostly watch shows and movies on netflix.
