The Rap game and its evolution

1979 was the year that Rap as music really came out of the shadows and its evolution up until now in 2000's has improved and become more popular. As rap music really became popular since N.W.A,Biggie,Tupac, and even some of the rappers like Snoop Dogg or Dr. Dre who still are Rapper or musicians alive today. All have really kept pushing The "game" to the next level. It started off from being Slower to having rappers especially like Eminem with his impressive track Rap god. Now today we have all kinds of artists who all make different types of rap from Hardcore Rap to even soft rap.so the difference from the beginning of Rap to Rap today has changed drastically.

Do you think Rap has changed in a good or bad way?

How do you think Rap music affects the kids or even adults in the world?

  • Good topic! Be sure to hyperlink correctly. You had a good discussion with Alicia but you could have commented more to other people.

  • Bad. you cant even understand what people are saying anymore.

I don't really think it affects them that much

  • I don't think rap itself has changed, but the views of society have changed and rap isn't so frowned upon anymore. I don't think rap affects anyone, it's the things associated with it that get people into trouble.

  • I think in a good way. I haven't heard a lot of the older stuff, but from what Ive heard, I like rap today better than it was back in the day. I dont think it affects them as much as people think. The biggest think I use it for is to get hype for a lift.

  • I dont really like rap music at all, but I dont think that it is really a "Bad" thing. but in the past parents that they is was terrible and would corrupt their children. Music can be a very powerful thing and I think it can influence them into liking or trying different things.

  • Rap has changed a lot and now you can barely understand what they are saying/signing about. Rap talks about money, drugs and killing so it could affect people by making them want that.

  • Rap now is pretty bad. There are rappers that you can't understand or make terrible songs. Rap talks about money, drugs, gangs, killing and women so it could affect people by making them want that.

  • 1. rap has changed alot and now days you can barely understand what they are singing about.

    2. talking about drugs and shooting people isnt right for the little ears of the U.S. to be listening too

  • I think it depends on your view of rap, I definitely think there is a negative stereotype  with rap, however, it has definitely  grown more popular over the years. I think that depending on what rap kids listen to it can have a negative or positive influence.

  • I think rap has changed a lot throughout the years with all these new rappers and new hit songs. But I think it has changed in a good way, but there are still rappers out there who just talk about doing drugs and all that stuff and it influences kids these days in a negative way.
