In the battle for the world championship title, Max Verstappen, and Lewis Hamilton duel hard in the race in Saudi Arabia. In lap 37, however, the situation escalates! Hamilton sucks on Verstappen on the start-finish straight. The Mercedes drives past, but Verstappen closes the door. The Red Bull driver loses the rear when turning, blocking Hamilton's way into the first corner. Instead of taking the long way into the bend, Verstappen accelerates and cuts off the bend.
In the second DRS zone, Hamilton draws back on Verstappen. The Dutchman wants to let Hamilton pass to have the DRS in the following straight. His plan: to overtake Hamilton again. The Englishman doesn’t play along, waits behind him. Then the escalation: Verstappen suddenly slows down sharply! It slows down from 304 km / h to 108 km / h within 2.5 seconds, shifting from eighth to third gear! Hamilton can no longer evade and crashes in Verstappen. Verstappen only gets a 10-second penalty after the race. For the first scene, he received a 5-second penalty while the race was still in progress. The explanation of the racing referees of the world federation FIA: “When deciding to punish the driver of Verstappen, it was decisive for the stewards that Verstappen suddenly braked heavily, which led to a collision."
I think Hamilton should know that he would brake hard. I don't think it's Verstappen's fault, it's kind of a dirty move, but I think his move was acceptable.
Here is a video of the scenario:

What do you think about this?
Who do you think is blame for the crash?
How would you react as a referee?

Not a great story choice as accidents just don't lead to good discussion. Your summary is also quite brief. Start by explaining what championship you are talking about. The big issue is that you didn't comment to anyone which is worth 30 points.
I think that Max shouldn't have gotten a time penalty because he was essentialy told to give Lewis the position. I think that Lewis is to blame because he had plenty of room to pas Max but didn't take it, therefore cuasing the wreck. As a referee, personaly I would blame Lewis, but since it's the FIA Max would get the blame becuase it's Lewis Hamiltion and Mercedes.
I think that he did it on purpose. There is no need to suddenly break in a race unless you are forced to. If I was a referee I would say that it is his fault. he could have hurt or killed someone.
It for sure seems like he did it on purpose. This with the most part is obviously to stop the other guy from winning the race. While yes this is a pretty dirty move to initiate I don't know the rules of this competition so if this is allowed and people are allowed to do this then there's nothing we can truly do about it.
I think he obviously got the guy to crash into him and he should lose the race. Plus this is really dangerous so he should be punished. I think the referee should act right away but I am sure they have to watch a video to look at everything.
I'm not very familiar with this but I saw it on the news and from what they said I think there could have been a chance that Verstappen did it on purpose I think he is the one to blame for the crash because he was the one that started it all .
I think that it is very hard to tell is it was done on purpose because there could have been other reasons for slowing down. I also think it's hard to tell who to blame because crashes are very common in those races. being a referee would be a hard job and tough to make good decisions.
