Ole Einar Bjoerndalen from Norway has won 13 medals at the 6 games that he has competed in. Ole is 40 years old and became the oldest man to win a gold medal in the Winter Olympics. Bjoerndalen participates in many sprint skiing events and also in the biathlon. He has had a 21 year career and was content with his first gold medal at these games. He has won 2 gold medals at these games. That surpassed his fellow countryman Bjorn Daehlie for most medals won in Winter Olympic history. Phelps has won the most medals Summer or Winter Olympic Games with 22 medals. Last year Daehlie wrote a documentary about Bjoerndalen that accused him of doping. Sounds very similar to Michael Phelps.
I think it's incredible that he Bjoerndalen is 40 and still competing in an event like the biathlon. I don't think I would be able to be in that good of shape at 40 years old.

That's amazing that someone his age is competing at the Olympic level. I wouldn't consider him Michael Philips. I know myself, I wouldn't be like that when I'm 40.
It's really awesome, he can beat all the younger competitors. I think he shouldn't be compared to Michael Phelps, it's totally different sports. I think they are both amazing.
Ya your right it's completely different sports but they both are able to stay in shape and beat out the younger competitors so I think that's why he should be compared to Phelps.
I think that since he has won so many medals over such a long career that he should be considered the Winter Olympics Michael Phelps. I hope im in that good of shape at 40.
I know of a women who competed in Olympic gymnastics that was in her late 30's, so I think you can be in that good of shape. I wouldn't jump to accusing him of using enhancers.

Actually I think she got bronze! She had been trying for many years. I think it is incredible because gymnastics is one of the most physical demanding sports.

I don't know if he is doping, but I think it is incredible that he is 40 and that active and healthy. It's possible for everyone to be able to do this, it's just a matter of wanting to.
