May 2nd, 2011 the United States launched a raid on the Al-qaeda compound of the most wanted man at the time, Osama bin Laden. The raid consisted of 23 NAVY seals, lasted around 40 minutes, and ended with the killing of bin Laden. But was Bin Laden really killed on that night? Many conspirators believe that Bin Laden’s death was fake.
One conspiracy of his death is that he passed away in December of 2001 due to a genetic mutation, Marfan Syndrome. The syndrome affects the proteins keeping body’s tissue together. Many of the symptoms showed on bin Laden including his tall frame, long limbs and long face. That means Bin Laden died nearly a couple months after the biggest attack on US soil on 9/11. Another conspiracy is Bin Laden was captured by the Pakistani Government in 2006 and was then sold to the United States as long as they staged the raid killing bin Laden.
Journalists in Pakistan believe the compound that was raided in Pakistan was not the home of bin Laden because the real bin Laden was already dead. They believe the United States knew that, but they just needed an excuse to enter the country. The Obama administration has also been accused of staging the raid, to seal the election victory in 2012. They believe Osama bin Laden had already been captured years before 2011, and then finally decide to execute the most wanted man in the world.
I am not a big believer in conspiracy theories, but the conspiracies involved in bin Laden's death make me wonder. Some of these conspiracies make a lot of sense. I could see the raid being staged, the only reason I say that is because we went after bin Laden because he was the one that planned the 9/11 attacks that killed thousands of Americans. I understand we went to war with the major terror group, al-Qaeda, which bin Laden was in charge of. But how did it take the US government 10 years to kill Osama bin Laden? In my opinion, the conspiracy that is most believable is that the United States government had actually already captured bin Laden for many years before the government executed him. It was one of the greatest achievements within the Obama administration. It could have been a key to winning the reelection of 2012, even though it was nearly a year and a half before the election. It was that early because if it was done anytime later, it may have been suspicious if it was that close to the 2012 election. It is also possible that bin Laden's death was not done by any attack, but instead Marfan Syndrome. The only reason I say that was because the major symptoms of Marfan syndrome showed on the long, slim body of Osama Bin Laden. But, the Obama Adminstation wanted to be the ones to say the Worlds Most Wanted man was killed by United States. No matter how Osama Bin Laden died, we all know the world is a better place without the terrorist blamed for thousands of innocent civilains deaths. I do not think that they staged the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden, I do think that they killed him on that little farm or where ever they killed him. I think that the genetic mutation one is probably the most understandable and the more likely to believe. I do believe that the US military did kill Osama Bin Laden.
Stephen, I agree that the genetic mutation is easy to understand if he died from it, because the symptoms showed upon on his long, limb body. The syndrome is also very rare and noramlly most people die from it.
I think that the assacination of Osama Bin Laden was real. I can't figure out why we would fake it. Yes it would most likely help out in the election but I think that this is to big for just an election. I can't figure out why we would keep him hostage for 5 years.(if we really did have him hostage). So I belive that the conspiracy theories are fake.
Nick, I also agree with you. I just thought the conspriacies were very interestng and some could have some truth too it. The only way I say that is why did it take 10 years for us to kill bin Laden with the greatest milatary in the world.
I definately do not think it was staged, Osama was being tracked down by our government for years and we wanted to kill him for years. So I do no tthink we faked killing him and I do not think that it was staged at all. I don't really know of a theory that is about him.
I do not think that the raid was staged, but if the raid was staged the Obama administration would have had some good reasons for it. I think that out of the conspiracies listed, the one about Bin Laden being killed to help with Obama's reelection makes the most sense to me. The killing of the man that caused the largest attack on US soil since Pearl Harbor would sure help your campaign.
I believe that it was not staged at all and here's why I don’t think they would fake killing him, and if they did why would they take so long. Wouldn't it look better if they did it sooner. People make conspiracy theories about almost everything, and never really have much proof to back up their claim. And if this theory took place, it says he was dead in 2001 I feel like we would have definitely found out sooner.
I don't think that the United States government staged the killing because everytime something like this happens, people make up conspiracies and never have anything to back up their claim. I think the most believeable would be the gene mutation because it actually would show evidence in his body as to when he died and what he died of.
Mason, I kinda disagree with you. You said that people just make these up and do not have anything to back it up but you got to realize we know what happened because of what media and government tells us, who knows if they are not telling the truth.
