On Friday morning in the court against Larry Nassar, a father of a girl that was abused was giving his statement. At the end of his statement, he asked the judge to let him have 5 minutes with him in the locked room. When the judge denied his request, he asked for one minute then she said no. Then he said fine I will do it now then we jumped out of stand and almost reached him before 5 cops had to put him down on the ground and tell him everything is ok. He was then arrested and taken out the room. People are calling him a hero because he did what probably no one had the guts to do and people were saying that he is one of a kind.

Questions

How would you react if this same thing happened to you (your daughters being abused)?

Would you have done the same thing as the dad?

  • Well done overall Steven. Be sure include your personal thoughts within your summary and also be sure to capitalize words in your title that should be. You commented a lot but all on the same day. You should go in at least three different days.

  • I think that anyone in his man's situation would be extremely upset and would want the man who did it to pay. That being said, I don't think that violence will solve the past or help his daughters heal. If anything, hurting the man accused would only give him more power over you and your family.

  • I would also be very upset and highly angry. I would probably think the exact same thing that the dad did. I feel like I probably would do the same thing because that was so wrong of him to do.

    • I agree because I would too be very angry. I would probably not say anything and then at the right moment just go and attack him the same way the dad did because he showed that he actually cared.

  • I would be very upset and probably want to do the exact same thing that that father wanted to do to him. I probably wouldn't do what he did but then again I wouldn't be able to stand in court and face him.

    • I agree and yes it would be hard face him in court because of all what he did to "your daughters". Then again since he abused your daugters why wouldnt you want to fight him.

  • If this were to happen to my daughters, I would have thought about doing the same thing, but I don't think I would have actually of gone through with it. I don't blame him for doing this to Nassar because he had to of been very angry with him.

    • Yes I agree because even if someone does something to you that hurts other people you do have to keep your cool espically if you are in court or in general but sometimes you gotta to what gotta if its to proctected your family.

  • 1. Yes, I would.. He abused the girl and almost forced them not to tell anyone. He took advantage of them and probably made her feel like she was worthless and there was no end.

    2. Yes, when I become a parent I am going to be protective over my children and I will fight for them. No person should put there hands on my kids.

    • 1. I do agree because its making her feeling guilty and then forcing them to not tell anyone is just wrong.

      2. When you become a parent there is always a time that you will have to tell your kids that if someone is touching then you should fight back and not stand there getting abused.
