Today (Sunday October 29) is the 5 year anniversary of super storm Sandy that decimated the Northeast and affected millions. Now history is looking to repeat itself. A new tropical storm is set to hit the north east coast today, Weather or not this tropical storm becomes the perfect storm is still up for debate. In order for this storm, Tropical Storm Philippe (which originated in Cuba) to maximize its damage, it must depend on the low-pressure system that is bringing a cold front across the eastern United States to arrive at the northeast section of the United States at the same exact time that a large dip in the jet stream arrives (due to former Typhoon Lan next to Alaska). If they do end up meeting at the same time, it could turn into that meteorologist call 'The perfect storm". But one CNN meteorologist sees it differently, "This is no longer a perfect storm, this is an imperfect storm," CNN Meteorologist Chad Myers said.

Questions-
1. What would you do if you lived in the path of this alleged storm, would your prepare for the worst or wait to see what happens? Why?
Answer- I feel like I would have started prepping for this awhile ago and made sure that all of my family and possessions were safe. Its better to be safe than sorry.
2. If you knew that this storm was happening for sure, how would you prep for it?
Answer- I would try to take as many things out of my basement as possible to prevent flooding and then try to tie down all the possessions that I have outside. hen also make sure my family has a warm safe place to be during the storm.

Well done!
I feel like I would probably start prepping, even if it might be unlikely. I'm very afraid of storms and weather in general, so it would freak me out. I would probably start putting important family pictures and other stuff in a safe place and any other important thing away. Then I would go buys some rafts and make sure we had blankets and water-proof stuff to keep my family and I warm and dry.
1. I say it's better to be ready for the worst than wait until later and have less time to prepare. I would do what I could to brace my home for whatever nature throws our way.
2. I would try to move all I could to higher ground and out of the lower levels to avoid possible damage from flooding. I'd store a bunch of food and water, and we have to have those portable chargers for our devices!
I completely agree with you when you say you would rather be prepared for the worst then not be prepared at all, and it would be smart to prepare your home for the storm if it comes. I think its smart to move your stuff above ground. Thanks for the comment!
I would definitely prepare because I feel like it's always better to do too much than to do too little. I guess I would do the same. I would take all my important stuff out of the basement upstairs, and probably make sure that I have got enough to eat for a while.
I completely agree with you! I also didn't think about this but its also really smart of you to stash up as much as you can on food and water. You could also get a generator or two if you run out of power, thanks for the comment!
I would get up and leave, start a new life. Because nothing is harder than seeing all the thigns you worked so hard for is gone. I would grab a could of sandbags and seal the doors around the house.
I would prepare and try to get myself ready for the worst. I would get extra food and water. I would get extra clothes and blankets. I would put all my supplies in one place so that I could be ready for whenever it was heading to my town.
I completely agree with you! Although I hadn't thought about stashing up on extra food and water as well as stashing up on blankets and clothes! Good job thinking of that! Thanks for the comment!
I would be prepared to leave at any minute because of all the recent hurricanes and how quickly they arrive. Leaving also takes a large amount of time and effort, so I would always be prepared for the worst. I would take only belongings that had significant meanings and go somewhere that this storm couldn't harm. People always end up stranded, begging for help during the worst of these storms. I think that if people knew the storm was coming, they should leave and use common sense that their lives were in danger.
