The First Sport In The World.

Wrestling is one of the oldest and probably the first sport ever made in World History. Wrestling is also in the top 10 famous sport in the world.  wrestling was invented in 3000 BC. there have also been discoveries of wrestling drawing in caves from ancient Olympics 700 BC. The objective of wrestling was to knock down the adversary using grabs and pushes Unlike what was previously believed, it was allowed to use your own legs for the attack, as well as attack those of the rival. Therefore, ancient wrestling is comparable to Olympic Wrestling. The fighters could not hit the opponent, kicking, slapping and punching being prohibited. In modern days wrestling is one of the most practice sports in schools and professional wrestling gyms. In America, wrestling was introduced by the first settlers, although they found that wrestling was already popular among Native American people. Freestyle wrestling remains in the United States and is practiced with some modifications. In Europe, wrestling spread during the nineteenth century and became known in more distant countries. In the first Olympic Games of modern times in 1896, a division open to all weights was included The game was won by the German Carl Schuhmann, who was surprisingly only 5.15 ft tall. In my opinion, wrestling is a very cool sport and also very entertaining to watch.

  • Good topic choice and grewst job replying to student comments! I do think your summary could be better organized into paragraphs. I would have also like to see you add more of your opinions/thoughts into your summary.

  • I really like wresling and i do wresling and I like wresling. I do wresling and i really like it and i like it how it is the oldest sport and i want it to pursue.

  • I think wrestling is a very demanding sport and it could potentially make someone more tough. I personally am not a fan of wrestling, I don't really know why im not but im just not a big fan. I do respect people who go out and try wrestling because it is a tough sport.

  • I don't personally know really anything about wrestling, and I dont really have an interest in sports, but the history about wrestling is cool. If I were to compare sports, I'd say that wrestling is certaintly unique, which makes it more interesting. It's very different from almost every sport because of the lack of running, which is cool.

  • In my opinion, wrestling is one of the most fun and entertaining sports to watch. I would say I am a fan of wrestling because of what I said earlier, but I do not feel like I would be the type to enjoy practing wrestling because of how challening it seems.

    • Yes I agree with your opinion wrestling is one of the most fun and entertaining sports to watch in your free time and sometimes it could be very fun to practice it yourself but everyone have different likes and dislikes.

  • Personally, I do not know much about the sport of wrestling. However, from what I have seen and heard, it does seem to be a very intense and challenging sport. I feel that it would take a lot of dedication to take part in this sport, as it is an individual sport so you cannot rely on your teamates. I would also assume that wrestling requires a lot of strength and focus.

    • I also didn't know much about the sport before but after reading about It I found out it is a very interesting and cool sport to watch or practice yourself. sometimes it could be intense or challenging to see but it is for everyone to try it.

  • I think wrestling is a very interesting sport because it isn't like any others where there is a lot of running. Its just very simple to where you have to pin down your opponent. I'm not a fan of wrestling because I just never watch it but I'm sure its very interesting to watch. I've never praticed wrestling myself and probably never will in the future.

    • Yes, wrestling can teach a lot of things like working hard and fight for yourself if really enjoys practicing it is a very interesting sport to practice and is also cool to watch it on tv or some other platform.
