The very well-known Jewish girl, Anne Frank’s diary survived the terrors of the holocaust. On September 24, Anne’s diary is to be published, and will be released in the United States. The diary takes place in a span of four years during the Holocaust starting in 1939. Anne Frank gave her diary to her boyfriend at the time, Zygmunt, before she died. He then added the final draft after she died. Zygmunt passed on the diary to Anne's sister Elizabeth who escaped to New York City. However, Elizabeth couldn’t bear to read it herself, so she put it in a bank vault where her daughter then found in 2012. After Elizabeth's daughter rediscovered the diary, she had it translated. The diary that is being published will have a prologue and an epilogue that is written by Elizabeth. I think that the holocaust was a tragedy in our history, but it is still very important to learn about today. What better way to learn more about it then reading stories from a person who suffered through that time themselves.

I think that the holocaust was probably a dark time in her life, and she didn’t want to relive all those memories of everything she lost.

I think that it is very important for everyone young or old to know about the holocaust, so that they know about where they came from. And to be grateful for the life they live today.

I think that for some people the holocaust was a very hard time and was a rough thing and it still is hard for some people because it was so bad. I think yes it is important for people to learn about it it is interesting and good for people to know.
I agree that she did not want to remember he very bad memories of her life. Yes because people can learn what one person could do to so many people. Also people can learn about past mistakes of other people.

I agree. Elizabeth more than likely went through a very dark time in her life, and she probably wanted to move on with her life. The holocaust is still very important to learn about today so it never gets repeated.
I don't think that she would want to invade her privacy or read what she went through and how they treated her. I think it would be a good idea for people to still be learning about the holocaust because they could learn where they came from or who their family was if there were in the holocaust.
I think Elizabeth didn't want to read her diary because, like you said, the holocaust was very hard to get through, and reading the diary will only bring those bad memories back to her. Yes, I believe it is important for generations to learn about the holocaust becase children take for granted everything they have today, and learning about the holocaust and how hard it was for the children will make them grateful for what they have.
I agree with you, the holocause was a very hard time in out history, and we can't even imagine what theose people went through. If I was in her place it would be very hard for me too to read the diary of my dead sibling.
I think it is very important because then people that didn't live though the holocaust will understand what it was like back then and will learn to make sure that something like this never happens again. we don't want a rise of another hitler or stalin.
