Maryann White, a mother of a Catholic boy, wrote a letter to the editor about women wearing leggings. She wrote this letter of concern to Catholic schools. Throughout the article she made points about how when women wear leggings it only makes it harder for men. She also says how she is ashamed how the women can wear some of these things to a Catholic Mass. Athough I agree with Anne Jarrett, one of the women it's concerning. During the article she says that college women are going to continue picking out the clothes they want to wear. However, I believe that both sides could be right and it depends on your opinion.
Do you believe that leggings shouldn't be worn in Catholic Schools? Why or why not?
I think that it's up to the person who is wearing them. Some people feel like they are okay and others don't, it just matters on your opinion.
How would you be affected if leggings weren't allowed in our school?
I wear leggings a couple times a week so I would probably be upset, but I wouldn't be mad because I can just wear something else.

Well done overall Miranda! I do think your summary is a bit brief.
I think that women and men should be able to wear whatever they want to and feel good wearing it. And people should just mind their own business. I mean I wear legging all the time because they are comfy and I dont really have any jeans so I dont know what I would do.
I think leggings should be able to be worn in Catholic schools and at mass. Instead of teaching women to cover up for men, they should be taught not to look at women in a provacative way. It is not distracting if you don't look at it. Dress codes discriminate women by restricting what they wear. Girls should be able to wear what they want.
I also think that it isn't right for women to have to cover up because of men. I also think that they should be taught how to not get distracted by women.
I think leggings should be able to be worn in Catholic Schools and other schools in general. It's strange that the article referenced that "it only makes it harder for men", as if they're only concerned with the environment men are in. Meanwhile, dress codes are constantly discriminatory and heavily pushed towards women, which can create body image issues.
I agree, I think that leggings should be able to be worn when people want. I also agree that dress codes are directed towards women usually.
1. I think that girls should be able to wear whatever they want to school.
2. It wouldn't really affect me because i'm a guy, but I bet girls wouldn't like it.
1) Yes, same. I really do believe that this is a free country, so you should be able to wear whatever you want. I think that this might be a bad idea because so people might get mad.
2) I mean I am a guy so I don't wear leggings. I still think that it shouldn't matter if girls wear leggings to school or not. It is up to them and they can wear whatever they want.
I agree, this is a free country and anyone should be able to wear what they want. I think that it would affect a lot of women.
I think that is is up to the parents and students what they wear. It is more important for the student to be comfortable. It would also be discriminating to girls since nothing for boys would be banned. I would be very upset since I wear leggings almost every day.
