The Chinook Indeans live on the banks of the Columbian River, and the Pacific Ocean. They were good at building canoes, navigation, they could trake very well, and they were great fishermen and planters. They slept in these little plank like houses and slept on mats over boards. They were short little people and had flat foreheads. Lewis and Clark found them in 1805
