Dress codes have long been a topic of debate in educational foundations. While they were at the start implemented to promote a sense of discipline and professionalism, many argue that they are individuality and self-expression. I want you to explore the advantages of eliminating dress codes in schools.
By removing dress codes, schools allow students to express their individuality through their clothing choices. This freedom of expression can boost students' confidence and self-esteem, as they can showcase their style. It also encourages diversity and inclusivity, as students from various backgrounds can freely express their cultural or religious attire without fear of judgment or restriction.Without dress codes, students are encoraged to think creatively when it comes to their attire. This freedom can inspire them to experiment with fashion, leading to a more vibrant and diverse school community. Creative expression through clothing can also spill over into other areas of students' lives
Strict dress codes can contribute to feelings of self-consciousness and body image issues among students. By eliminating dress codes, schools can help reduce these pressures and promote a healthier body image. Students can focus more on their studies and personal growth, without the added stress of conforming to specific dress standards.
Eliminating dress codes in schools can have numerous benefits for students. It helps self-expression, promotes equality, enhances creativity, improves mental health, and prepares students for the real world. By embracing individuality and allowing students to express themselves through their clothing.

Do you think that we should get rid of dress code?
What are some cons of getting rid of dress code?
If Harlan got rid of their dress code do you think it would go bad?

Great topic choice and well done Lilly! Be sure to comment on three different days.
I think that our relatively dress code is a good thing. Clothing should not be distracting in schools. We are there to learn, not to take learning away from others. Some people think that it is "Voicing your opinion". However, sometimes it goes much too far.
I think that there should be a litlle dress code because it would get to out of hand and people would take advantage of it. However, I think that the dress code should not be as strict as it always is and I think it has gotten better through out the years.
I think school should not eliminate dresscodes but i also think they shouldnt be so strict about it either. i think it would really depend on what the student are wearing if its something that can cause distractions by inapropriate clothing they they should pay attention to those type of things but sometimes the teacher in school overexaggerate with dress codes.
I personally do not think that we should get rid of dress code. Even though some students think that the dress code is biased or too strict, I think it is needed. I understand dressing is a form of expression and how you express yourself. But some stuff is not school appropriate, and having a dress code now prepares us for a dress code in our future jobs.
I don't think that we should get rid of the dress code, although some people believe it to be biased. It really does help us, in the long run. For many of us in our future jobs, we won't be able to dress the way we always want to. By having a dress code it shows us what it could be like later in life.
I agree that we shouldn't get rid of the dress code but some things need to be changed
I think that we should get rid of the dress code. And if we couldn't their should be some minimal changes. Some people don't get to express themselves because the dress code resticts them of doing so, but in Harlan I don't feel that they restrict it too much. I think that if Harlan got rid of the dress code many people would take avantage of it.
I agree that we should change some of the things on the dress code
I think we should get rid of dress codes because it could ruin someone's ability to express themselves in school. Removing dress codes may limit self-expression but create distractions. I think if Harlan got rid of dress codes it could be a good and bad thing because it can lead to people expressing themselves more but could lead to distractions.
