For those of you who don’t know what the Avril Lavinge conspiracy is; it’s the theory that Avril Lavigne killed herself after her parent’s divorce and her grandpa dying. So that’s why she disappeared for a few years. That’s also why her face looks different than how it used to. People speculate that she was replaced by her body double Melissa.
For me, personally, I’m on the line about this. It’s possible, but I’m not sure if it could be real. Maybe I just don’t want to believe it. I usually don’t believe in conspiracy theories unless there’s evidence or something pointing to it that says it’s possible. For one, her music is different. Her music used to be very upbeat and loud, but now they’re more softer. Her voice also sounds different. It could just be the fact that she’s older now and her voice changed, but just take a listen to these.

There’s a huge difference between these two songs. Who knows, maybe she just wanted to change the way she makes her music and sings it. It’s also odd how she hasn’t uploaded any music since about April of 2020. She does have lyme disease and that’s why her album “Head Above Water” was delayed, but it’s still something to think about. I think she just wanted to change the way she writes music, but you never know.
Avril Lavigne dresses very masculine, wearing saggy pants, ties, and lots of spiked bracelets. Melissa, on the other hand, loves to wear dresses and skirts. People also believe that Melissa is dropping hints in her songs, such as, Slipped Away. “The day you slipped away was the day I found it won’t be the same”. At first, I believed this song was about Avril breaking up with one of her boyfriends. I’m still on the line about this speculation.

I don't believe that Avril Lavigne commited suicide. I have never heard about the theories of her killing herself. Nowadays, it is really hard to disappear for two years. I believe that she probably just needed a break from all of the fame.
I think that we don't really have enough proof, and evidence in this case. I think that these conspiracy theorys are quite strange, and out of the ordinary. I believe that this could either be 100% right, but very hard to believe that this is what really happened.
Yeah there's not enough evidence proving that she really is dead. Yeah sure, her face is different, but that could just be from plastic surgery and/or aging. She just grew up, that's why her music isn't the same anymore. If she really were dead you'd think they'd tell the public.
I think that this is a very odd conspriacy theory and it is very hard to believe like you said because if she was to commit suicide why would she want people to know that she is still alive. I think that conspiracy theroes are weird because most of them are very hard to believe but, some sound like they could be true.
This conspiracy theory does seem possible but it just doesn't sit right with me. Yes, your parent getting a divorce and your grandpa dying is traumatic, but I highly doubt it would've led her to suicide. If she did kill herself, then why would they hide it and not tell us.
I think that conspiracy theories can be very interesting and very fun to learn about, however I think that most of them are very hard to belive and seem to be unrealistic. They are also just theorys until they are proven true wich it seems that very few conspiracy theorys are proven true.
This conspiracy theory does seem unrealistic but it also does seem possible. It's not really evidence, it's just things that people have noticed and pointed out. I agree, most conspiracy theories are false but they are interesting.
I don't know how I feel about this conspiracy theory because it could very well be true, but then again she could have just changed up her style. I usally don't belive in conspiracy theories because most times they are redicuolus, but there are some that I can understand.
Yeah it really seems like it could be true but also not. She could've just gotten plastic surgery and/or aged. I doubt they'd hide it if she really did kill herself. There's no point in covering it up and replacing her with her body double.
