For many people the holidays can get exspensive and sometimes can end up spending way more then you wanted to. Studies and polls have showed that the average American spends roughly 708 dollars each year on Christmas gifts. It can get exspensive when you walk into stores and see the huge sale signs and all the things you want. It can get hard to have multiple Christmases and work get togethers or even as most people want you to donate to charities. Studies show that if you set a budget for yourself over the holiday that you are more likely to not spend as much. If you set a goal of how much you wanna spend then reach that goal and your holiday won't be as expsensive.
Do you think that $700 is way to much to spend on gifts?
I think that for parents or other adults that 700 is not to bad because if you have kids by the time you get each of them a couple gifts it will probably be pretty close to that number and if you have work parties it can all add up so 700 is somewhat reasonable.
Do you think setting a budget will help most people?
I think if you set a certain amount of how much you want to spend it will make you a little more catious on how much you spend and what gifts you end up spending your money on and it can help you be smarter with what you get and how many gifts you get.

I think that for the adults I don't think that $700 is a lot to spend on gifts. By the time they buy gifts for all their kids, and other family members. They could be spending a lot in the world more money because of the technology and the gifts kids want now days.
I don't think & 700 is a bad budget because with how expensive things can be, and depending on how many people you are getting gifts for, the money can deffinitly add up. I think setting a budget is a really good idea because thingsc can be very expensive.

I think spending that amount of money is totally up to the person. It is someones choice if they want to spend $700 on someone. Christmas presents can get very costly just due to the fact of who your buying the present for and what your getting them. For example If you have a girlfriend and you want to buy her jewelry from a nice store, the cost of something like that is either from 50-400 depending on what your getting. So I think it all depends on you and who your buying presents for.
Yes I agree for parents 700 dollars is actually pretty cheap with the price of many gifts this year it can be pretty expensive to get gifts for all your kids and other family members without spending over 700 dollars. I think a budget could help but yes getting what your kids want is important that way they have a good christmas.

I agree $700 is not bad at all yes with how expensive things these days are. I think setting a budget would be a good idea for most people because if you don't have anything stopping you from spending money then you probably won't stop. If you do set a budget then you would likely not go very much over it.
