A Texas Tech student accused of shooting and killing an officer at the police station on campus was caught late Monday and is now in custody, police tell local media.
The suspect, identified as Hollis Daniels, had been brought to the police station after a welfare check when he suddenly shot and killed the officer earlier in the evening before bolting from the scene, officials said.
1. If you were a friend of this guy how would you react?
2. Why do you think he killed that agent?

Isa,
You only needed to one story and as this one is a day late, I will use the other one for your grade.
I would be angry because it doesn't seem like he has a reason to kill the officer and we would definitely no longer be friends. It is still really confusing to me as to why he would've killed him I have no idea why he might have done that.
I would not be happy. I support the police and to find that my friend had killed on officer would make so very distraught. I think he killed him because he believed the officer did something wrong, or he just didn't like police.
I would be very disgusted by his decision and I would probably turn him in if I knew and the police didn't have him caught yet. I think that he killed that officer because he was gonna find that guy with something that he wasn't supposed to have. He could have also been under the influence of something that altered his thoughts.
I would be shocked and very disappointed that I was that person's friend. I think he did it to just get attention maybe, but I don't know why he would have done that.
If that person were my friend I would not know what to think of him, it would be dangerous to relate to a person like that, I would try to help him but with caution, since if he were my friend i knew what bothers him, and the reason why he came to make that terrible decision. The reason that led him to kill could be personal problems against the officer, or something bad he did, could be other things, I'm not sure.
If I knew the guy on a personal level depending on his mental health I would probably be shocked. I would also be confused on why he did that and also how he was capable of doing such a thing. I think he killed that agent so that he wouldn't get caught on whatever he did. I would not support what he did, and we probably wouldn't be friends after what he did.
Shocked of course, im not sure I would be friends with someone I thought was capable of doing things like this and so very surprised. I think he was hiding something more then just killing someone. I am also wondering how Hollis got a hold of the officers gun because the way they should have restrained him would make him un capable of moving that much and so I think that the police and Hollis are both hiding something and the police need to be retaught...everything, to prevent something like this from happening again.
I would be confused. I would want to know why he had done this. Since this was a welfare check, he probably not wanting to tell them his problems, so he shot one officer, and fled. I'm sure there was more internal problems that made him react like that.
I am not supporting the suspect's action.
I would be angry with him and I would no longer support him as a person. The mistake was fully his fault. He was probably incredibly angry about something, so that is why he killed the innocent agent. He was probably also not in the right state of mind.
