This past week the University of Texas made a not so shocking move by firing their head coach, Charlie Strong and hired Tom Herman who was previously coaching at the University of Houston. Herman has a 5 year contract worth 5 million per year. In Tom's short time as a coach at Houston, he has elevated the schools football program to the national level. In the latest press conference Charlie Strong has said that the foundation has been laid and Texas will win games next season.

I think they should have waited one more year, it wasn't really clear to me either way though, they did kind of suck the last couple years. I would not be surprised at all if they have a winning season next year.
I agree with you that they should have waited another year. Strong got handed a failing program so he had to play alot younger players. So I think these younger players will be good next year.
I think they made the right decision to fire him even though he did some good things for them.

I think if Texas felt it was good move to fire him I suppose that it was most likely a good idea because they wouldn't just fire him for no reason. I'm not sure if Texas will have a winning season because working with a new coach is hard but maybe its what they need.
I don't know if Texas will have a winning year. I think they have the capability of it, but I am sure it'll be a big adjustment for them to have a new coach.
