In 2007, A 17 year old Ohio student, Eric Mohat, committed suicide after being bullied for years at his high school in. A boy had actually went right up to Mohat and said no one would miss him if he shot himself, so he did.

In 2010, Eric's parents are now suing the school for "Bullicide", suicide caused by bullies.

It believe this is a very sad and enraging story. I would like the kids to be sued, Everything they did was out of line and uncalled for. My thoughts are with Eric's parents right now.

What are your opinions on this?!

  • ok you cant just sue random people because you say they are bulling you, if you see it going on then maybe
  • The school cant really control what the students do or say to another student but they should at least try to control them.
  • That is really sad. The bullying at that school was out of hand. My thoughts are also with Eric's parents. The kid who said that is going to have to live the rest of his life knowing that their bullying took some one else's life.

  • he man this is pretty sad. . i wish people would just let others go. i mean i have made my fair share of laughing at people but i don't go up to someone and just say basically your a waste of oxygen and no one would care if you were dead. that;s just not right but i also think the school shouldn't be held accountable for the kids actions. someone should have realized this aka his parents. maybe things weren't going so good in the home. also the bullies should have been brought up better.
  • I think the parents are doing the right thing because if they sue the school they might stop the bullies not competely but alot.
  • The parents aren't gonna win this, if they knew their kid was socially awkward and didn't address the problem and get him help, then they are just as much to blame as the school.
  • that is sad... i agree with the parents on this.
  • 7Tishtun:
Why they want to do that is because the school didn't do anything about that. Teachers are actually trained to notice the "signs" and are supposed to report them to the board.

sorry it wasn't letting me "reply" directly to you
  • I don't know if they should actually sue the school just because it wasn't the actual school board who said these things to the student, it was more of the kids who attend the school that were causing the issues. If you know what i mean..
