A pair of teens, Dalton Hayes (18), and Cheyenne Phillips (13) from Kentucky were arrested in Panama City Beach, Florida after multiple car thefts. Two of the cars had weapons in them. The teen couple lead authorities on a two week man hunt through multiple states. The two were found sleeping in a Toyota Tundra that they stole in Georgia. They were arrested sunday with no further incident and are facing multiple counts of car and gun theft.
Why do you think they were on the run so long?
Why do you think it took so long for the police to find them?

Again, great job replying to comments but your summary could have been expanded a bit and written better.
These teens were most likely troubled and maybe had issues in high school or therefore lack of, considering Cheyenne is 13. They had stolen so many cars, that I think it made their trace almost impossible to find. They switched cars so much, that they couldn't track where they had been or were going for awhile.
Yeah, they were probably troubled. Normal teens dont usually go on a car stealing spree.
I think they could of been bullied and they just wanted to get away from it all. I think they were just improvising and the cops were one step behind.
I never stopped to think that the pair might have been bullied, that makes a lot of sense.
I think the students are probably troubled and are seeking attention. They probably got away with it for so long because of how often they switched cars that people were not looking for.
I never thought that they just might be looking for attention, good observation.
I think that they knew what they did was wrong, and so they hid and ran from the cops. All though running away from your problems doesn't solve anything, they are young and obviously not aware of any consenquences. That still doesn't give them a right to do any of this though. I think it took the police to long to find them because they kept moving and layed low.
They must have known how to stay low, because they remained uncaught for two weeks.
I think it was so hard for the police, because they drove in so many different cars and switched them, but I'm glad now that they found them. There are probably many reasons why they were on a run so long, family problems or just because they thought stealing cars is so easy.
