It was February 9 when Leo's parents were sitting in the stands watching his game, it was the Hawaii state high school soccer championships. it was 10 minutes into the second half of the game when the game stopped because an ambulance came. Leo thought it was just the other team's player, but when he saw that guy who got hurt earlier was still playing Leo then thought the ambulance came for nothing. Then after the game game the coaches came up to Leo and told him that his mom had a stroke. Leo was devastated and immediately went to the hospital to see her and she then passed away. I think this is a sad story you win the championships then you learn your mom had a stroke in the stands. What do you think of this? what would be going through your head?

I wouldn't know what to do if my mom had died. I wouldn't be able to function at all. I hope Leo and his family can make it through this tough time.
That's so sad. It is kind of like Taylor's grandpa. I would be freaking out and rush to the hospital. This would be a mixed emotion kind of day.
I would be devastated if this happened to. You start out having a great day, and then find out it was your mom that the ambulance came for. If i were to hear about that during the game I think i would have left and went to see if my mom was okay.
That sucks; he probably feels like her stroke was his fault, although it definitely wasn't.
It's too bad she couldn't make it. I couldn't imagine being put in that situation watching a loved one die in your arms like that. At least they are in a better place now.
Thats scary and would be freaky i feel sorry for him and hope his mom is completely ok and nothing long lasting happened.
This is horrible. I feel so bad. I mean it's great that he won the championships, but that's horrible. I feel bad for him.
I would freak out if that was my mom! That is so sad! I would hate to have to go through that like he did. Atleast she got to see her son play right before she died.
this is super sad! i think they should of told him right when it was happening so he could spend more time with his mom before she died.
i think they should of told him sooner because it was a pretty big deal and they just wanted to win the championship.
